RAKZA X is the first rubber with NSS (New Surface System), Yasaka’s new production process to improve the grip of the rubber surface. NSS gives a stronger touch when hitting the ball, and the control in both attack and blocking is improved.
In RAKZA X Soft the same surface rubber is working together with a relatively soft sponge, Feel Sponge, with good catapult effect. The combination of the elastic sponge and high grip top sheet increase the the feeling and improves the control of your game.

The grip feel isn't quite up to the level of the G-1, but it's more stable for that. That said, I'd recommend using it as your third rubber. It's better to learn tension rubbers with something like Vega first before moving to this one. There's also a bit of a tendency for the ball to fly off on its own... d(￣ ￣)

It's called Rakza X Soft, but the sponge itself is a mid-range 45 degrees, and including the sheet the overall hardness is 46.4 degrees, which is on the harder side. (The sheet is hard.) So it works perfectly fine on the forehand. The grip is very good, and the ball lifts without slipping, but despite that, the spin felt just okay to me.

I put it on my backhand side and used it.
The consistency when you sink the ball in and drive is really outstanding.
Because it's soft, it's also easy to place blocks exactly where you're aiming, so it's a rubber I can recommend to beginners too.

It's soft, and if you focus on brushing the ball when you drive, it grabs spin and the ball really extends. It's also soft and easy to use, so this was the first time I put on max thickness — since it doesn't fly too far, it still lands on the table. It's a rubber suited to the backhand, but it also works on the forehand. You can also stop the ball with a block and then push it straight into the corner. Lastly, since this rubber is spin-focused, once it starts to feel lacking, switching to a harder rubber feels like a natural next step.

I tried it out since I'd heard it's recommended for the backhand.
As advertised, the grip is amazing.
The sheet is just as hard as the regular Rakza X, so backhand serves get a ton of spin on them too.The sponge is a perfectly balanced 42.5 degrees, making this a versatile rubber that pairs well with both hard wood blades and special-material blades.

Above all, it's consistent. I use it on my backhand, and it's a really strong rubber for backhand techniques like chiquita. The spin and speed are both great, so it would work well on both sides too!

I feel like this suits people who think the Rakza 7 or X are too hard, or who prefer something a bit softer than a hard rubber.
Compared to those rubbers, this one feels slightly weaker in terms of raw speed and spin performance, but speed and spin are both easy to generate, so I think it's a user-friendly rubber that pretty much anyone can handle.
If your muscle strength or swing speed is average, or you're not confident in it, I feel like this X Soft suits you better.
