butterfly Staff (Experience: More than 20 years) A great rubber in every way!

      Reviews by user

From the moment I started rallying with it, I could feel how intense it was. It delivers top-tier speed and stability. Since it plays close to inverted rubber, spin comes naturally without even thinking about it. It's the best rubber.

Nameless (Experience: More than 20 years) The strongest rubber!

      Reviews by user

You can really tell it's Butterfly. This is short pips, but it boasts spin and speed you'd never expect from short pips. You can also put inverted rubber on the other side and use the pips to short-return the opponent's serve so they can't attack on the third ball. Since it plays close to inverted rubber, it's a rubber I'd recommend to anyone trying short pips for the first time.

Chichinpui Pui (Experience: More than 20 years) The Tenergy era is over...

      Reviews by user

This is a miracle rubber that combines spin, speed, and stability you'd never expect from short pips! The speed is enough to beat out Tenergy 64! The spin is close to Tenergy 05 too. Unlike the XB, it's easy to put spin on your shots, and serves, pushes, drives and so on all keep the ultimate combination of spin, speed, and stability, so even someone using short pips for the first time can hit without thinking too hard, since it plays close to inverted rubber. It also returns the opponent's spinny shots just by touching the ball.

Table Tennis enthusiasts (Experience: 11〜20 years) The strongest rubber!

      Reviews by user

These are my impressions after actually hitting with it.
This is the strongest rubber out there, with top-tier speed, spin, and usability on both offense and defense.
It puts out spin you'd never expect from short pips. It grips more than Vega Asia DF, an inverted rubber. It's faster than the XB, and drives get a huge amount of spin on them. Loop drives in particular spin like crazy! On receives, it barely picks up any of the opponent's spin, so you can return a spinny serve while keeping the spin true to what you put on it. Blocks come back just by touching the ball, so they're really easy to do. My recommendation is pairing it with Tenergy 80 — that combination is the best!

Lee (Experience: 11〜20 years) Great flight distance

      Reviews by user

The thing I like most about it is how far it carries the ball.
Even just blocking the ball, it lands deep in the court.
And yet if you brush it slightly, it stops.
The trajectory curves in a surprising way.

To put it simply, it feels like an upgraded version of the Flare Storm 2.
But I guess that's just Butterfly for you.

I think it suits players who struggle against German-style rubbers and who prefer to win rallies rather than relying on knuckle balls.

I'd like to try the XB version eventually too, but I've ended up completely satisfied with the XS as it is... lol
