      As the name suggests, this rubber excels at both spin and control. I used to play with a variation-style short pips rubber before, and the way this one grips spin feels close to inverted rubber — such a difference. I can also use inverted rubber on my backhand normally alongside this, so I think it plays very close to inverted rubber. Of course it's difficult, but you can still produce the knuckle balls unique to short pips.

      I put this on my backhand, and it really flies. It goes farther than Tenergy. As for spin, it does grip the ball, but it doesn't come close to inverted rubber. I think it suits penhold players with a close-to-the-table attacking style.

      As far as Butterfly short pips go, I've only really used the Magnitude, plus the pips-out Bamboo Curl P-1 (TSP), but this is my favorite short pips rubber I've used so far! I really don't want it to get discontinued the way the Magnitude did!

      XS apparently stands for Extra Spin. It really lives up to the name! It grips an insane amount of spin! I bought it together with the Moristo SP this time, but this one performs better! I even thought it might have surpassed inverted rubber! The pip shape is clearly well thought out — very Butterfly of them! I'd almost want to hand this to a Chinese women's chopper. The logo looks cool too, and since it's short pips it lasts a long time — great value for money! The shop manager recommended it as well! It feels like a player such as Mishiro Ito might use this!

      I used to use Moristo SP before, and I'd say you can hit with a feel pretty close to inverted rubber with this one. The weak point, though, is that when you flick the ball, you get basically no speed at all.

      Spin is beyond complaint! No slipping either!
      Control is easy too, but the ball release and speed fall a bit short.

      Better suited to drive players than to angle hitters.
      Also, because the rubber's pips are packed in tight sideways, it's on the heavy side.

      When you hit it, the ball flies upward and doesn't slip, so it's easy to drive against backspin.
      It doesn't sink into the sponge the way inverted rubber does, so there's a limit to how much a drive can really carry. That said, there's no doubt it gives you more confidence driving than a conventional short pips rubber would.

      Meet-hitting produces a sharp, dry sound as the ball flies off. It's a slightly different impression from the metallic German-style sound.
      The manufacturer's video said it's easily affected by incoming spin, but I didn't get that impression at all. You can drive through any kind of spin.
      Also, according to the maker's numbers the bounce is the highest among short pips rubbers, if a bit lower than tension inverted rubbers, but because the ball leaves so quickly it feels faster than the numbers suggest.

      Hit it softly and it stays restrained; hit it hard and it flies off with a satisfying sound. A good rubber.
