Your profile is spin driven. You are looking for maximum grip.
As an advanced to high level player you will benefit from medium 42° sponge hardness taking full control on your spins.
Your style is versatile and you are smart enough to combine top spin potential with a medium soft sponge to guarantee superior feedback and control.
Add some extra speed in your stroke and the R42 will provide the dynamic performance you are looking for.

The control is good, spin grips easily, and topspin drives were very easy to hit. I think it suits both the forehand and backhand.

I used the Ultra Max thickness.
Rallies, blocks, and counters all had a power I'd never felt before. The ball sinks in, launches off, and just powers through. You can feel it the moment you hit it — this is a totally different rubber from what I've used before.
That said, the moment I tried a brushing or grazing stroke, the power and stability disappeared. The feel for lifting backspin with a topspin drive is so different that, honestly, I couldn't handle it well. If you keep your contact point up, stay low, and swing through almost horizontally, it fires off in an incredible trajectory — but if your form breaks down and your contact point drops...
The rubber's performance is amazing, but it's hard to master. I heard using a thinner sponge makes it feel like a completely different rubber, so I'd like to try that version next. All Speed Spin Control Hardness Little soft

Takuto (Experience: 4〜5 years) A bit harder than 05 FX!

Reference rubber
- Tenergy 05 (referred to as 05 below)
(scoring everything out of 13 points)
Compared to 05, the biggest difference is that spin grips even better.
I'd say it leans more toward the backhand, but forehand players who focus on topspin rallies would probably like it a lot too.
As for hardness, it feels softer than 05 and a bit harder than 05FX.Blades it pairs well with
- A slightly harder 7-ply blade
- Softer special materials like ALC
Basically it seems to suit pretty much any blade!!Who this suits
- Anyone currently using Rasant Grip
You can switch without hesitation. You'll be amazed at the stability.
- Anyone using German spin-oriented rubbers like Evolution
- Anyone using Rakza X Soft
- Anyone who feels 05FX is a bit too soft
*People currently using 05 or 05FX might often not want to switch to this one.
This has been the best rubber for me so far! If you're curious, I'd definitely recommend giving it a try. The price is a bit on the high side, but I think it's worth trying.
I've written a lot here, but this is just my personal opinion, so I hope it's useful as a reference.^ ^

Compared to Rasant Grip, it feels like the spin and control have been improved.
If you're after speed, I think the R50 or V47 would be a better choice. All Speed Spin Control Hardness Little soft

I put this on my backhand and used it. It was really easy to use, and flicks and blocks were great. If you don't put proper spin on your topspin drive, the ball comes out light. Also, my blocks stop the ball really dead.

The topspin drive really zips off the rubber, so you can both punch through shots and break down blocks.

Ping-pong Pis (Experience: 11〜20 years) It's stable, but.....

I'm using this on my backhand. Its strength is that both topspin drives and flat hits land solidly on the table with good stability. Personally, what I liked best was the fast-paced exchanges close to the table. Spin didn't feel like it grips all that much — if anything, the previous model, Rasant Grip, felt like it had more spin. Also, R42 is so soft that it makes a really loud metallic sound off the blade (lol)
Overall, since the sponge is very soft, you can generate speed even with a light touch, but the spin isn't all that strong
(you can put spin on it if you try, but) the ball also feels lighter, which I felt was a drawback. All Speed Spin Control Hardness Soft
