It really flies.
But things like blocking are still stable, and the short game is stable too.

Put this on my forehand. I'd had my eye on it for a while, so I finally bought it. When I looked it up on various sites, it seemed like more people put it on their backhand. But once I actually tried it, I found it really easy to use on the forehand too. It was easy to get spin on the ball, and short-game techniques like the push were easy to do as well. It's really easy to use, so I'd definitely encourage you to try it.

Put the thick version on my backhand side [used it for about 3 months]
I think it's a very stable rubber.
I switched from the R37 to the R42.
Out of the R series, I'd rank it my third recommendation. [1st: R48, 2nd: R47/R50]
That's because the versions with a higher hardness than R42 are more geared toward attacking play.
The R42 is, if anything, more about control and stability [same goes for the R37]
If you want to go with a higher hardness like the R47, I think it's better to put R47 on your forehand and R42 on your backhand.
The R series pairs really well with XIOM's Vega series and VICTAS's V07 and V15 series,
so it might be worth trying just for reference.

Switched over from V15 Stiff. Using 2.0mm on my forehand, shakehand inverted on both sides, close-to-the-table attacking style.
Serve... it's more suited to a grazing/brushing motion. Might be harder to put out heavy spin plus speed serves.
Receive... if you let the ball sink into the sponge and hit through it, it goes in most of the time.
Topspin drive... easy to brush the ball thin. You can shape the arc however you like, and the control is great too. A heavy drive with the same feel might take some skill....
Hitting flat... doesn't feel too hard to use, but it's more affected by spin than other tension rubbers.
Short game... if you have a good soft touch over the table, everything - stop, push, feint pushes, flicks - feels easy.
Overall... I'd recommend this rubber mainly to players who win points through finesse in the short game and a controlled, high-spin topspin drive. Since I play more of an angle-hitting style like Mima Ito, it was a bit so-so for me...All Speed Spin Control Hardness Little soft

Since it's a rather soft rubber, I use it on my backhand.
It bounces more than expected.
It's also easy to put spin on, so I think it pairs well with a hard blade.
The V42 has a lower trajectory, so I'd recommend both for the backhand, but in terms of stability the R42 might be better...All Speed Spin Control Hardness Little soft

Used on the forehand (2.0mm).
No complaints about spin-related techniques.
It also has decent control in the short game.
Being soft, blocking is stable.
The speed is normal-fast, but not crazy fast.
The 2.0mm felt easier to handle than the Ultra Max.If you're starting out with the Rasanter series, I'd recommend starting with the 2.0mm version of the R47 or R42.
