    Customer Reviews SummaryAI Summary
Highly evaluated for its offensive capabilities and easy-to-produce knuckle shots, gaining support from beginners to intermediate-advanced table tennis players. As the rubber used by Mio Ito, it is well-recognized for its balanced speed and spin. However, some users point out control difficulty and the importance of proper racket selection.
    ■ Frequently Mentioned Points
    • Knuckle shots naturally produced and easy to induce opponent errors
    • Excellent speed and ideal for aggressive front-court play
    • Good spin for a short-pimple rubber with versatile shot variety
    • High stability in basic techniques like topspin and smash
    • Soft sponge provides pleasant ball contact and ease of use
    ■ Representative Voices
▲ PositiveThis rubber has great speed and spin, making it very easy to use. Drives, smashes, and blocks all land reliably on the table. It's no wonder Mio Ito uses this rubber.
▽ CriticalControl is difficult to manage, and the ball often slips when attempting spin. Over-hitting and net errors were common in important rallies. I cannot recommend it for beginners.

Look over there (Experience: More than 20 years) The ideal short pips rubber

      Reviews by user

This is a penhold short pips setup, with Glass OX on the reverse side, played in a close-to-the-table all-round style.
For the first two weeks after re-covering, it drew a slight arc like a spin-oriented short pips, but after about two weeks of use, it started producing plenty of this rubber's true knuckle balls.
It pairs really well with my treasured, long-used Rudeac blade - the feel of gripping and releasing the ball on forehand drives is really satisfying.
Shorts, the short game, drives, counters - every technique you need for short-pips fast attack is easy to do with this.

octopus (Experience: More than 20 years) Fast-attack short pips that counter spin players

      Reviews by user

Since the switch to the plastic ball, I've gone through a lot of different short pips. Rubbers like Booster, Spectol, Spin Pips drew a half-baked arc that made them stable, but for the opponent, that also made the ball predictable and easy to read. When it comes to penhold short pips, it's really knuckle balls first, short game second, and the short-ball technique third. Moristo SP fits that bill. Among short pips, this is the rubber that lets you stand up to opponents built around spin, like heavy drives. The feel of the ball popping off it on flat hits is really good. As for the blade, a 5-ply hinoki blade suited me better than carbon. The feel of the ball releasing from the rubber reminds me of how short pips felt back in the old celluloid-ball days. Overall it's an excellent rubber, but the one thing it lacks is that on serves, you don't get much spin unless you really let the ball sink in and brush it.

I used this back when I was playing short pips
You can hit it flat, and you can also brush it
      Truly the best rubber
I used chop blocks a lot
and I had no problems using it that way
It was also easy to produce shots like knuckle balls that the opponent has trouble handling
Taking the ball early with a quick "pa-pan!" rhythm
seemed to leave opponents unable to return it and getting frustrated

Since it was my first short pips rubber, I was a bit worried, but it turned out to be really easy to use.
As expected of a vertical-pip short pips, flat-hitting techniques like meeting the ball were easy to do. Driving isn't stable for me yet, partly due to my own lack of practice, but I feel like I could get it once I find the knack. As for spin, I think it grips the ball quite well for a vertical-pip rubber. Chiquita and reverse chiquita are both very easy to hit, and the amount of spin you can get is more than enough too. That said, it's not like it can't produce the knuckle balls that short pips are known for either - you can put spin on it when you want to, and turn it into a knuckle ball when you want to, so I think it's a very versatile rubber.

Gotchan (Experience: 6〜10 years) Seriously, it's really good

      Reviews by user

This rubber is really great. First off, it's easy to hit flat, and it takes a good amount of spin for short pips. It's just too good all-round, yeah.

      Techniques that are easy
Hitting against backspin (that "pop" shot), flat hitting, smashing, long serves

      Techniques that are hard
Driving from away from the table, fast chiquita

      Reviews by user

I used this on my backhand. My first impression after hitting with it was that it puts on a decent amount of spin for short pips. It's also easy to produce clean knuckle balls, so it's easy to fight with variation! It's also easy to hit flat against backspin. That said, being short pips, looping is a bit tough.
But this rubber is really great, so I want to keep using it on my backhand going forward.

I love table tennis (Experience: 4〜5 years) The rubber used by Mima Ito

      Reviews by user

This rubber was one of the earlier spin-focused short pips rubbers on the market.
It's easy to control, and its defining trait is that it lets you hit really fast, good shots!
In terms of ease of use, I'd rank it near the top!
That said, compared to rubbers being sold recently, I think its spin is a bit lacking lol
I'd say it's better suited for players who like to hit the ball flat rather than players chasing spin lol
I think it's worth trying at least once, and I'd recommend it
