I've used a lot of different short pips rubbers, but the moment I tried Moristo SP I knew this was the one. It suits me really well personally - it can put spin on the ball, produces knuckle balls, and it's easy to add your own variation to your shots.
It's easy to take the initiative from the short game and steer the point into your own pattern.

A very short-pips-like balance. Since it's not a spin-oriented rubber, the trajectory is straight. Blocks stop the ball well too. Drives are a bit tough unless you hit them firmly. It's not really suited to someone new to short pips. It's probably better to practice with a spin-oriented rubber first before moving to this one.

After switching from Spectol to Moristo SP, I can loop the ball up without any trouble, and the speed on flat hits is outstanding too - nothing to complain about.

This was my first time using a short pips rubber, and the speed is really fast. It had more spin than I expected too, but I found it a hard rubber to control.

Beginners can use it too, but I think you'll really bring out this rubber's performance if you switch to short pips and get used to something like Spectol or Hammond FA first. As for spin, I think it grips the ball really well. I also tried Spin Pips and Booster SA, but I think this rubber has the best overall balance. It produces knuckle balls very well too. I used to use Spectol's 21 sponge type, but if you asked me whether it produced knuckle balls, I didn't really feel like it did. So I switched to Moristo SP and I'm really glad I did.
If I were starting out with short pips again, I think I'd have used something like Spectol or Hammond FA first.All Speed Spin Control Hardness Little soft

It's easy to use even for first-timers, but I don't think you can really bring out this rubber's full potential until you're used to it. It can put spin on the ball and has good speed too - a pretty good rubber as far as short pips go.

I'm a left-hander with Swat CHN on my forehand.
I'm still somewhere between beginner and intermediate, so hopefully this helps someone at a similar level...
I didn't start using short pips because I wanted to hit knuckle balls or play fast attack - it was because I liked the feel of the ball off the rubber. Since then I've tried Speedy P.O. → Spectol (3 kinds) → Super Spin Pips → Raystorm → Spin Pips Blue & Red → Booster SA, and among all of them, I feel this one has the best overall balance: it lets you put on a moderate amount of spin without being too affected by the opponent's spin, it produces plenty of knuckle balls that opponents hate, the smash speed and ball control are excellent, the feel suits my taste, and the value for money is pretty good too. I'm not planning on switching for a while - I'm using my current max-thickness sheet and plotting to give the well-known players in my city a scare.All Speed Spin Control Hardness Little soft
