This rubber is amazing — good enough that pros use it. Ito is one of them.
Plus the speed and spin are great while still being great value for money. It might give you an advantage when the opponent puts a lot of spin on their shots. I think you'll be surprised once you try it!All Speed Spin Control Hardness Little soft

You can neutralize the opponent's spin and hit sharp balls, and it gives you a huge advantage when the opponent uses tacky rubber. That said, when a low ball comes in and you need to lift it, it sometimes drops into the net. Other than that, it's great.

The speed is really good, and it has that classic short-pips feel. But with how I put spin on the ball, I just can't get any lift out of it.
If you want to keep backhand rallies going, you need to either lift the ball on your forehand or make the opponent do the hitting.All Speed Spin Control Hardness Little soft

I'd used Chinese-made short pips for a long time, and this is my first time trying a Nittaku short pips rubber.
The sheet feels completely different from the Chinese ones, and it felt easier to put spin on the ball.
Knuckle balls don't come out naturally, but if you try to produce one, you can get a decent one.

This rubber is really good. I used the medium thickness — not sure how it performs at max thickness, but even though it's not super strong, it produces solid knuckle balls. It also flies in a straight line, so opponents seem to have a hard time reading it. The spin is decent, though it's not on the level of Booster SA or VO102. You can hit it like inverted rubber and it still goes in, but of course sticking to proper short-pips technique will bring out the rubber's strengths more. It also has good grip on the ball, so for short pips it's easy to do both topspin drives and chiquitas. This is a really good rubber, so I highly recommend it.

I use it on my forehand, with short pips.
Hitting flat drives makes it easy to produce a no-spin (knuckle) ball, and opponents often net it.
Against backspin, the ball goes in solidly whether you hit it flat or brush it a little — lifting from below tends to send it long.
Counters work whether you smack it flat or brush it in line with the spin.
In the short game, both stops and flicks are easy.
Stops sit lower if you keep the racket close to vertical against the table.
Flicks go in whether you close the racket face over the ball or stand the racket up and push through.
Among vertical-pips rubbers, this one has a nice balance of spin, knuckle balls, and speed, and overall it's easy to handle.All Speed Spin Control Hardness Little soft

Moristo SP puts spin on the ball and produces knuckle balls, so compared to Mizuno's Booster, it doesn't have as much spin, but it has speed - so if you're a speed-type player, give short pips a try.
