In terms of speed shots, being able to vary the amount of spin, and knuckle balls, I think this is a near-perfect classic rubber.
It's also reasonably priced, making it a great sheet for learning what short pips are all about. That said, I wouldn't recommend it for beginners.
Partly it's my own technique, but control is hard to manage — when you try to add spin, the racket slips on the ball. In matches, I noticed a lot of long misses and net misses at key moments.

This is my impression using it on a penhold blade. Since it's a short-pips rubber, I figured it'd be more of a speed-oriented rubber without much spin, but once I tried it, it puts on way more spin than you'd expect from short pips. You can also drive with full power. And the performance is way better than the price suggests — it really shows why Mima Ito uses this rubber.

I think this rubber's biggest strength is that it lets you do a lot of different techniques!
Among vertical-pips short pips rubbers, this one puts on quite a lot of spin, so you can drive with it, do short-pips-style flat hits and smashes, and pull off chiquita-type techniques without any problem.
One drawback is that it's a pretty high-tension rubber, so it's quite bouncy. It's also soft, so if you're not a fan of soft rubbers it might feel a bit tricky..
If you're fine with a bouncy rubber and want to get into short pips, I think you really can't go wrong picking this one!All Speed Spin Control Hardness Soft

I'm new to short pips. I use the max thickness. It puts on way more spin than you'd expect from vertical pips — it's basically like horizontal pips. Driving with it is hard. Flat hits go in as long as you hit them. The speed is seriously fast too. The knuckle balls are so heavy that opponents just can't return them, lol. It's for people who want to play a quick close-to-the-table game. I think every short-pips player should try it at least once (though most people probably already have...).
I put it on a carbon blade (one of the bounciest ones out there), but I feel like it actually suits wood blades better. A thinner blade might be even better. The sponge looks cool too.All Speed Spin Control Hardness Little soft

With a normal knuckle ball, once it bounces on the opponent's side and passes its peak, it picks up a slight bit of topspin, right?
With Morrist, it keeps carrying a bit even after the peak — the knuckle ball's trajectory feels just a little longer, compared to other short pips, I guess. Not totally sure though.
So the opponent gets thrown off too.Serves bite well, and you can drive with it too.
Flicks are so-so, stops are a bit tricky.If you hit it flat without brushing, you get a knuckle ball that shoots through smoothly — that's the biggest strength of this rubber.
Even when I think I'm just hitting normally, people often tell me a nasty knuckle ball comes off my racket.

I tried it with an Aqua Blade and a Segna, both penhold blades.
Being vertical pips, flat (angle) hitting is outstanding with this one. Knuckle balls come out naturally too, so a plain block is enough to send the opponent's shot into the net.
Brushing the ball does add spin, but it was more of a "not bad for vertical pips" amount.
Against backspin, unless you keep the ball low when brushing or work the placement, you'll easily get countered. If you manage to turn it into a flat (angle) hit, it becomes a knuckle ball, and the opponent seemed to have a hard time handling that.All Speed Spin Control Hardness Little soft

This feels like the softest short pips I've used so far.
Maybe closest in feel to Spectol Red — the current S2 or S3?
When you really brush it hard you get quite a bit of spin, but the ball tends to come out a bit floaty (that floatiness when brushing is the same for any short pips).
I've been cutting back on flat hitting lately, so I can't really speak to how good it is for that.
The sheet feels moist and grips the ball well, and the sponge is soft too, so it doesn't have that dropping-off-the-blade feeling you get with a lot of vertical-pips rubbers.
The Spectol line has a drier-feeling sheet rubber that's a bit harder and feels a little slippery.
Because the sheet grips the ball, flat hits feel like they won't go in, so I've cut back on flat hitting.
Knuckle balls don't come out that easily, but when they do show up occasionally, they're nasty.
It's a vertical-pips rubber that's easy to drive with.
Since it's soft, the feel on contact is really pleasant.The balance between spin, stopping the ball, and smashing is good and it's easy to use, but the downside is the price is a bit on the high side, maybe?
