Used on the backhand.
The sponge is harder than the GTT40, so basic hitting and punch shots feel crisp and stable. It doesn't have the sharpness of the GTT40, where the ball grips for a moment on pushes and serves before cutting off crisply. I think defensive players who mainly push would do better with the GTT40, while regular attacking players would do better with the GTT45.
That said, beginners like me feel like, when trying to lift backspin, the ball grabs and then flies off before the drive really takes hold, which suggests it might be a bit hard.
As for weight, cut to size it's 3g heavier than the GTT40, and 3g lighter than a Rigan medium-thick. For kids without much arm strength, GTT45 on both sides would be noticeably lighter than Rigan on both sides, which could be an advantage.
The feel of just bouncing the ball is slightly bouncier with the GTT45 than with the Rigan.All Speed Spin Control Hardness Little hard

This is really great! I think every beginner would be fine with this! Drives are easy to do, and chops are easy to do too! It would be perfect if there were more thickness options...
It's perfect as a first rubber, and even intermediate players can use it on the backhand as a great control rubber! I'd recommend it for choppers too!All Speed Spin Control Hardness Soft

The pushes really bite well.
It's soft so it's purely suited to the backhand.
Putting it on the forehand feels a bit risky.

Like other people have said, the performance is good for the price. The rubber surface is grippy, so I was able to get backhand shots in without getting caught out by the opponent's spin. Also, the sponge is harder than a typical high-bounce rubber and has tension built in, so I'd recommend it not just for beginners but also for intermediate players' backhands. By the way, I used the blue-colored version of the rubber. It's my first time with a colored rubber, so it just feels weird (lol)

This is cheap but the quality is definitely more recommendable than a certain Brand B's rubber! There's another hardness option available, but personally I'd say put this on both sides, and once you start winning a few matches, switch over to something like Rakza, DNA, or Hexer - rubbers with more grip & ball-holding - to level up more easily!
The ease of putting spin on it is about the same as a typical tension rubber, and I think you'll rarely mess up with it. If you're a coach who's not sure what rubber to recommend, go with this without hesitation!!All Speed Spin Control Hardness Little soft

The sponge is just slightly harder than GTT40, and I think that small difference is what makes it more versatile.
It gives you a decent amount of speed, and thanks to the spin-friendly topsheet, you can hit pretty good drives. Pushes and the short game are stable, and serves cut reasonably well too. On the other hand, as other reviewers have mentioned, it tends to get pushed around by heavy shots and is affected by your opponent's spin, so blocks can be hard to keep under control.
Once you've experienced a step-up tension rubber (like Hexer, Rakza, or Super Ventus), this can feel a bit lacking, but the value for money is excellent. I'd call this a standard rubber that covers everything from a beginner's first rubber to intermediate level.All Speed Spin Control Hardness Little soft
