This is basically like Tenergy at this point — the only difference from Tenergy, I think, is the weight of the ball. With the Q5, when you drive against backspin, you don't feel much weight on the ball, and it goes in easily even with a light-feeling flight. It's the same with counters — even though the ball feels light, the Q5 is overwhelmingly better than something like Fastarc or Maximum, and I don't think there's much difference from Tenergy in terms of other techniques either.

Right now I have Q5 medium thickness on both sides of my Viscaria. It's way easier to use than the V01 and Rozena I used before, and it flies a lot even with light force. Also, Tenergy is heavy, so I think especially few women use it, but this rubber is very light, so I'd recommend it to women. The rubber itself lasts a long time and holds up well over a long period, so it might actually be a better deal than Tenergy.

I got swept up in the marketing claiming this rubber could rival Tenergy and bought it.
After using it, the spin performance was higher than I expected — serves spin well, and the quality of loop drives is very high too. I also felt it was very stable once rallies got going.

Using the 1.9mm version
Overall it feels like an upgraded G-1, but because it bounces a lot, I find it hard to handle when attacking.
The easiest things to do are blocking and countering.
Also, drives tend to fly quite high, so unless you really angle the racket forward over the ball, you get overshoot misses one after another.
That said, the spin on loops is amazing, and you can score points with loops.
Drives that curve or sink after the bounce feel great. You can use it like a bouncy tacky rubber.
Defensive techniques are generally easy to pull off, so at my level it suits the backhand (I like a harder backhand).
Well, that might just be because my own skill isn't good enough, though.
There's a lot to like about it, so I want to keep using it for 3 to 6 months and see how it feels once I'm used to it.All Speed Spin Control Hardness Little hard

I put the max-thickness version on my Nittaku Choutokusen A penhold blade. I was torn between thick and max thickness, but decided on max thickness since I'm using it on a single-ply blade. At the Q5 demo event, the explanation was that because the grip is so good, driving the same way you normally would sends the ball too high and causes overshoot misses. So the advice was that driving with the racket angled flatter, brushing the ball, makes it go in easily. When I hit with it, it felt soft. In practice, when driving, a faster drive was actually easier to hit than a loop drive — I've always been weak on drives, but on long serves that go out past the table on the return, when I swung all the way through on the drive, I was surprised at how easily I could return it fast and low. Stop returns are easy too, and serves get plenty of spin. Smashes go in well too. I haven't used the Q4 so I can't compare it to that, but this is a really good rubber, and I plan to buy it again.

Thoughts after buying and hitting with it (comparing to the Q3)
Even when hitting from a broken-down stance, the ball sinks into the rubber and lands deep and stable in the opponent's court.
But because of that, serve returns were harder to do.
The Q5 is stable on both drives and counters, but the max drive speed and how easy it is to rally with drives both felt better on the Q3.
Also, when I drove the ball, I didn't feel like much spin was going on, but the person receiving said it definitely had a lot of spin, so I think it's the kind of rubber, like Tenergy, that generates spin automatically.
Since the rubber sinks the ball in on its own, it was also harder to vary pace compared to the Q3 (blocking felt about a 2 or 3 out of 5 too)
Conclusion
I don't think this suits people who generate spin by brushing with the rubber, like on pushes, or people who mainly fight with counters close to the table.All Speed Spin Control Hardness Hard

I went to a demo event and tried it. I felt that with this rubber, it's easier to generate spin by really letting the ball sink in rather than just brushing it. But sinking the ball in requires a fair amount of power, so I don't think it's suited to beginners. A fairly strong senior on my team said "it grips no matter what you do," but I think that's probably because his drives have real power behind them. I think this rubber really shows its performance when used by advanced players.
