This rubber feels a bit softer than its stated hardness.
I tried it on an inner-composite blade, but I think an outer-composite blade would give a better, more moderate hold on the ball.
I felt this rubber bounces more than others, so I think it takes a bit of skill to handle.
To compare it to Tenergy,
it felt like something in between 64 and 80, leaning a bit toward 80.
It feels a bit softer than Rasant R47.

I test-hit this at 1.7mm, prioritizing control.
The sponge is hard, and the sheet has thick, hard pimples, but since the gaps between the pimples are a bit wide, it doesn't feel all that hard.
It felt to me like a rubber around 45 degrees. It flies quite well for 1.7mm.
Forehand
Trajectory... The previous Rasant R47 was hard with a straight trajectory, but the R48 is a rubber whose ball rises upward.
Feel... Fairly soft. People say it's Tenergy-like, but honestly it reminds me a lot of Tibhar's Evolution EL-S.
Drive against topspin... The ball sinks in nicely and the trajectory rises, so it's quite stable, and you get good distance, though not that much speed.
Drive against backspin... You can loop it fine, and hard hits also work well since the trajectory rises.
Counter... The trajectory rises more than you'd expect, so it's easier to get the ball in if you close the angle a bit more than usual.
Serves get spin too, and the short game is easy to handle. The sheet on Tenergy is stronger, so it can't quite match Tenergy for spin,
but overall my impression was that it's faster than the Evolution and spins less than Tenergy.
The backhand felt a little hard and flew too much, so it was a bit harder to use there.All Speed Spin Control Hardness Little soft

This is a comparison with Rasant R53. Since it's softer than the R53, the ball sinks into it better, and my drives were very stable. That said, if you're looking for power, the R48 might feel a bit lacking. Serves are extremely easy to put spin on. The short game is also very stable.
