      I used it at 2.0mm on my backhand.
      This one is good, plain and simple.
      You can do almost every technique with it.
      That said, compared to the R47, the power of a single hit and the spin level are a bit lower, but it's more stable! Personally, I found it suited an outer-composite blade.

      People around me were raving about it, so I wondered if it was really that good and bought one.
      When I hit with it, it felt kind of close to Tenergy 80... The speed-to-spin balance felt just right, and my impression was that it's easier to control than the R53, which is a step above it. That said, it's a bit lacking. It suits both forehand and backhand, so there's no doubt it's a good rubber. Maybe I'm just not bringing out its full potential, but I keep getting this "almost, but not quite" feeling. Might be a combination issue too.
      Still, it's very stable, so I can recommend it to players from around intermediate level and up.

      I put it on my forehand. I used to use tacky rubber before, so this feels like it flies quite a bit more.
      I'm a chopper, and I switched because I wanted to boost my blocking and attacking power — the spin on this is amazing. I've started using topspin drives a lot more now.

      It makes this pakyun-pakyun sound.
      It's a rubber that feels great to hit with, like back in the speed-glue days.
      My impression was like Tenergy 80 with a satisfying hitting sound added on top.

      I normally use the R47 on both sides, so this is a comparison against the R47. (Just my personal impression)
      Speed: R47 < R48
      Spin: R48 < R47
      Control: R47 < R48
      Short game: R47 < R48
      The feel doesn't jar your hand, and the ball leaves the rubber quickly.
      The sound when you hit the ball is very satisfying.
      The hardness felt about the same as the R47.
      That distinctive quirky ball you get from Rasant rubbers is gone, so it's easier to hit, and it feels like it's easier for opponents to read too.
      There also wasn't much of that typical German-made "chip" feeling.
      With my style, the ball lands shallower with the R48 than with the R47.
      If you're going to use it, I'd recommend the backhand.

      I normally use Dignics 09C on my forehand and Rozena on my backhand, and before Rozena I used the R47. So I'll give my thoughts based on that comparison. My first impression was that the ball really sinks into this one. Compared to the old R47, it feels like it grips the ball more while still flying well. That said, it's stable, and the ball comes out really true and straight, so I think opponents find it easy to read too. Compared to the R47, the R47 produces a sharper ball, so I personally found the R47 a bit harder to handle, but when it lands, opponents have a harder time returning it. Compared to Rozena, Rozena's feel is maybe a touch softer? But honestly it's almost the same. Even though they're actually 3 degrees apart in hardness, the R48 feels softer. It probably lasts longer too, so I decided to go with this one for now! It's a pretty easy rubber to handle!
