The short game, topspin drives, serves — I can do all of it perfectly.

Currently using Rasant R48 on both sides of my Timo Boll ZLC!
Before switching to Rasant R48 I was using Super Ventus on both sides!
It was easy to use, but heavy... Since I had a good impression of Rasant before, and R48 had a good reputation, I decided to buy it!
The bounce is great and I think the spin is satisfying too!
It's also 2-3g lighter than Super Ventus, so the weight is lighter too! I thought the power might drop along with the weight, but the power was totally fine!
Maybe thanks to how the sheet is made and the size of the sponge bubbles, it feels softer than its hardness rating and the ball sinks into it easily, so it's easy to put spin on!
The arc doesn't go as high as with Super Ventus, but thanks to Rasant's signature grip, backspin shots came up easily too!
I'm glad I switched, so I'd recommend everyone give it a try!All Speed Spin Control Hardness Little hard

I have the 1.7 thickness on the forehand of my Defensive Classic. My forehand chops became very stable. That said, it doesn't put spin on the ball on its own. If anything, I think it's easier to produce knuckle chops with it. For attacking, even at 1.7 I was able to counter-drive with power from mid-distance.

TH Somewhere between the 05 and the 80

Used on backhand, and these are my impressions from trying it on forehand too.
The hardness feels about like Tenergy 80, and the trajectory is somewhere between 05 and 80. Other people might have mentioned this too, but it has a very automatic feel, and it barely produces the quirky, unpredictable balls typical of German rubbers — it feels more like a Butterfly rubber.
If you care about unpredictable balls, the 50 or 47 in the Energy Cell line (haven't tried the 50) give you more inconsistency — sometimes it grips, sometimes it doesn't — even with the same swing, compared to the 48 or 53.
The weight is just slightly lighter than the 47, maybe due to a difference in the sponge's bubble structure (could just be individual variation though).
It works on both forehand and backhand, but personally I'd recommend putting this on the side where you want consistency and putting a rubber that produces unpredictable balls on the other side. Tenergy isn't easy on the wallet, so I switched my backhand to this (forehand is Target Pro).All Speed Spin Control Hardness Little soft

I used this on my forehand. As the title says, the performance is exactly to my taste and really good. The sheet is on the soft side and the sponge has large bubbles, so it feels soft for a 48 degree rubber. Because of that, meet-style shots are easy to do too. Also, when you get a good grip on the ball with the sheet, there's plenty of spin, so it's a high-performance rubber that even someone like me without a very strong impact can handle — I was sure I'd be repurchasing. However, it died in less than two months. My practice volume is 3 times a week, 2 hours each. Based on that, this rubber feels like an upgraded version of Rozena. I think it would be perfect for someone currently using Rozena who wants to step up, or for someone looking for the performance described above on their backhand. It's tough for a student like me though...

I heard really good things about this in reviews, so I'm using it on my forehand. The first thing that surprised me was the sound — it makes a high-pitched sound off the ball, and the feel is incredibly fun. Maybe because the top sheet is soft relative to the sponge hardness, it feels like it really absorbs the ball and then releases it. It's not rock hard, so I think even people who don't like hard rubbers could use it on forehand. It also has plenty of spin and speed, so it's a rubber that works well for a wide range of players, from intermediate to advanced, and is easy for pretty much everyone to like.

None of the skills suffer — topspin drives, the short game, chops, counters, all of it.
But it doesn't have the rough, biting feel that R53 has.
It's not the kind of rubber with one standout trait, but the spin and speed are both totally manageable.
