Comparison with Tenergy
- Spin: R48 < Tenergy
- Speed: R48 > Tenergy
- Hardness: R48 < Tenergy
- Weight: R48 > Tenergy
- Price: R48 < TenergyPersonally, I'd recommend
R48 for intermediate to advanced players,
and Tenergy for advanced players to pros!
That said, the R48 grips the ball well and is easy to control, so I can recommend it to beginners too.
One thing to watch out for is that this rubber flies quite a bit,
so I think a thickness of 1.7 to 2.1 is best. All Speed Spin Control Hardness Soft

It should be pretty hard going by the rating, but it still generates plenty of spin, and it was really good.

With the Rasant R48, the feel is definitely soft.
Some people might find it too soft. Or maybe nobody will...
For me personally, it was so soft that everything went into the net.
Maybe I just don't know how to hit with it, or maybe I'm just bad, but either way it's soft, and the sound and the power when it lands are amazing.
It makes this pakyun-pakyun sound, so my impression is that it's a rubber that feels great to hit with. All Speed Spin Control Hardness Soft

Choli Choli Man (Experience: 2〜3 years) Insane stability at this ball speed

I borrowed this from a friend and tried it out. This is a comparison with the Bluestorm Z1, which I use on my backhand.
The first thing that surprised me was the feel. The Rasant R48 has a hardness of 48 degrees and the Bluestorm Z1 is 47.5 degrees, so the Bluestorm Z1 is technically softer, but the R48 clearly feels softer to hit with. I think that's because of the sponge's cell structure (the R48's sponge has quite large cells).
The drive speed is fast. But the Bluestorm Z1 is a bit faster still. The quality of the ball is overwhelmingly better with the Bluestorm Z1 too. The Bluestorm Z1 also produces more spin on loop drives. But stability is overwhelmingly in favor of the R48. The Bluestorm Z1 is stable too, but the R48's stability is a level above.
The R48 gives you more speed than any rubber in the Vega lineup, while being more stable than any of them too.
The R48 is also fantastic against backspin. It might be the easiest rubber I've used for looping backspin balls.
It's a rubber with an insane level of both stability and speed at the same time. All Speed Spin Control Hardness Soft

For those who say the R53 is too hard to use...
this is a rubber I can recommend.
But you might be thinking, isn't 48 degrees hard though?
Well, thanks to the Energy Cell technology, it feels more like around 45 degrees.
You can really sink the ball in,
and still brush the surface for spin!
This is the best rubber!!!!All Speed Spin Control Hardness Little soft

For starters, it really grips the ball, and that's amazing!
The grip on the ball is strong, so backspin balls feel like a breeze lol
The sheet holds up well too, so give it a try!All Speed Spin Control Hardness Little soft

I put it on my backhand! For starters, my chiquita actually curves! Blocking feels good too! My backhand drive really did get easier than before.
