At first my impression was that it got great spin, but as I kept using it, the impression shifted to it being easy to generate speed.
I also tried the Sriver EL, and I felt this one was a bit harder.
If I had to choose, I'd recommend the EL.

It doesn't get much spin,
but if you cut it thin enough that you barely feel any contact,
you can get good spin on it.
Speed and control are both good,

I think this is still plenty usable today.
Back when I was in the club (I'm in my 30s now), this was the rubber you could call the standard-bearer at the very top.
When I decided to get back into table tennis after a long break, the shop clerk told me it was a beginner's rubber, and I was floored — but I guess that shows how much rubbers have advanced.Anyway, let me review it.
Because of the ball change and the speed glue ban, you don't get the same explosive shots as before, but the sinking, heavy drive is still alive and well. That said, unlike a tension rubber, you need a big swing and to really put your whole body into it. That brings back a nostalgic feeling. It's fun!
The speed doesn't match a tension rubber, but it does come out on hard hits. In other words, if you don't hit hard, it won't come out — if anything it's slow. Since the rubber is fairly hard, the ball leaves it quickly.The short game is calm and easy to control. It's not especially sharp on spin, but thanks to a topsheet that grips to some degree, there's no technique that becomes hard to do.
If you can swing all the way through with a big stroke, I think this is still a rubber you can fully compete with today. Don't rely on raw power — win through the difference in quality.

This was the rubber I used when I first started playing table tennis, and I was surprised at how much spin it got the first time I used it.
Serves, receives, drives — everything gets great spin, so it's really good.
But after using it on my forehand for a long time, it got hard in spots, and lifting backspin became harder compared to at first.

This rubber was a perfect match for my backup blade, the Korbel, yo
The speed is nowhere near a tension rubber, but even with max thickness on the Korbel, if you put in a decent amount of power it's not enough to hurt you in a match, and if you really sink the ball in, the drive comes out like (≧Д≦)Nnnghhh! drawing an arc and dropping down, yo
