I'd been using low-bounce long pips for a long time and switched to a non-sponge type, and the first thing that struck me is amazing: just by blocking an opponent's topspin drive, the ball comes back to their side low with the spin heavily reversed. It reverses the spin fairly automatically, so returning shots is easy, but since it's a tension pips rubber it really flies, so it takes some skill to keep it under control. Control is also difficult, so a harder, defense-oriented blade like a 5-ply is a good match. For attacking, pushes are very easy to hit and generate a lot of speed, which is threatening for your opponent. Hitting flat or driving with it is fairly difficult, I think. Both the amount of spin and the attacking performance are quite a bit higher than other long pips, I'd say.

Overall, unlike sponge-backed long pips, this one flies more.
For chops, blocks, and pushes you can produce shots that other long pips just can't.
That said, just like traditional non-sponge long pips, you can't get much bite on your pushes.
Well, it is an OX (sponge-less) rubber to begin with (lol)
but even with other OX rubbers you can still get some grip on the ball.
I wouldn't say this rubber can't do it at all, but it's close to impossible.
I use it as a chopper, and personally I think it's a good rubber.
It's especially easy to redirect the ball and push, so it's also easy to switch to close-to-the-table play.
I'd recommend it for penhold long pips, shakehand long pips, and all-round attack/defense styles.
Honestly, it might be hard for choppers to handle.
Anyway, I plan to keep using it as is.

After trying this rubber, it has more speed than traditional non-sponge long pips. That means pushes come out really fast, and blocks fly low and every so often really quick too. It also has a strong spin-reversal effect, which makes blocks feel really nasty to receive. That said, the spin reverses on its own, so I think the weakness is that opponents can attack that. Once you get used to it you can use it well, so I'd really recommend giving it a try.

I use this to chop with an attacking blade.
The match with the Ma Long Carbon 3 is amazingly good. I'm using the 1.2mm thickness.
Backhand chops are sharp and stable, and on attacks you get quick knuckle balls. It's also easy to backhand smash a ball that floats up. Backhand pushes feel a bit bouncy, so I think you'll overhit a lot until you get used to it.
For a more defensive setup I'd recommend OX, and for a more attacking setup, the sponge version. Naturally, the thicker the sponge, the more bounce you get.
This is a rubber I'd recommend to choppers who also want to attack with their backhand pips. All Speed Spin Control Hardness Little soft

I'm using it with penhold long pips!
The attacking power is insanely high
The variation is also amazing
It does fly off a bit too much sometimes
The destructive power on pushes is crazy!
I can totally recommend this
As a tension-type rubber, forehand hitting
doesn't get much spin on it,
but it does put out a decent amount of power!!!All Speed Spin Control Hardness Little hard

Overall, unlike sponge-backed Grass rubbers, this one has more bounce.
For chops, blocks, and pushes too, you can produce balls that other long pips rubbers can't.
That said, just like the classic Grass, pushes don't get any backspin.
Well, it is an OX rubber after all (lol)
But there are other OX rubbers where you can still get some backspin.
I wouldn't say it's completely impossible with this rubber, but it's close to impossible.
I use it as a chopper, and personally I think it's a good rubber.
Redirecting the ball and pushing are especially easy, so it's also easy to switch to a close-to-the-table style.
I'd recommend it for penhold pips players, shakehand pips players, and unorthodox attack/defense hybrid players.
Honestly, it might be a bit hard to handle for choppers.
Well, I plan to keep using it as is.
