Heat-treated blades will be a matter of taste, but this one suits me.
I bought the Chinese penhold version for my wife.
I'm currently using the shakehand version myself.The rebound is decent, and both my wife and I like the harder feel.
It's hard, but it doesn't fly out of control like a carbon blade, so beginners and intermediate players can use it without issue.
If you don't like a soft feel even from a 5-ply blade, give this one a try.

It's on the harder side, but the speed isn't really all that, if I'm honest.

Since my blade has a hard surface, I went with the 40.
It's very easy to control, and I really like it.
It generates plenty of spin, and it's easy to lift backspin balls too — enough that it makes you feel like you've gotten better.
That said, it's fairly soft, so I don't think it will suit anyone looking for above-average hardness.Overall Speed Spin Control Hardness Soft

They say it's made for close-to-the-table play, but it's a bit heavy.
It depends on preference, but it's a little heavy for the quick movements you need close to the table, so it's tiring.

Bought this for my wife, who's a beginner.
It gives fewer knuckle balls than the plain version.
She's been using it, and apparently finds it very easy to play with.
It's less affected by spin, which I think is one reason it's easy for beginners too.
I use the Spectrum Red myself. The Spectrum series releases the ball quickly and has good control, so even with today's low-spin plastic ball, at a time when fast-paced play with inverted rubber on both sides is said to have the edge, I feel short pips are effective for beginner to intermediate players.Overall Speed Spin Control Hardness Soft
