A friend had this on their blade and let me try hitting with it.
My first impression was that the bounce is less than Tenergy or other spin-oriented tension rubbers.
But the spin is outstanding.Coming from someone who normally uses tension rubber, there's a lot about the performance that really feels tacky.
On the other hand, people who normally use hardcore tacky rubbers apparently feel like this doesn't feel very tacky at all.The listed hardness is high, but when you actually hit with it, it doesn't feel that hard, and you can dig into the ball.
The short game feels easy since, true to a tacky rubber, the ball doesn't fly around unpredictably.I'd recommend this rubber to people who want speed out of a tacky rubber, people who didn't like tacky rubber but want spin-focused play, and people who play relatively close to the table.
It's heavier than Tenergy 05 and falls into the "hefty" category, so if you're conscious of your blade's overall weight, you might want to be careful.

A friend of mine was using this, so I got to try it out.
I feel like this is probably the softest one in the Evolution series.
First, you can really feel the ball sink into the sponge, which makes hitting easy. This is a rubber where the ease of rallying really stands out.
As for the topsheet, it grips strongly, so you can draw a nice arc on your shots.
It might have a fairly middle-of-the-road position within the series, but since the sheet is hard and strong, I don't think it loses out on power even on the forehand.
Of course it's recommended for rally-type players who prioritize stability, but I also think it's worth trying for aggressive players who want to add some stability to their attacking game.Overall Speed Spin Control Hardness Little soft

This is a rubber that's often recommended for beginners, but I think if you're going to use it, you need a clear goal for doing so.
First of all, compared to today's tension rubbers, it has basically no bounce or spin.
It never does the work for you, so the point of using this rubber is that it forces you to generate your own speed and spin.
Both the topsheet and the sponge are on the soft side, so the ball sinks in easily, which I think makes it easy to become conscious of the feel of hitting the ball — something important in table tennis.
Honestly, it's not a rubber for winning matches; it's a rubber for learning to "hit the ball yourself" and "generate your own spin," so using it for too long might actually hold back your growth. I think it's important that once you've learned what you can learn from this rubber, you move on to a rubber suited for the next step.
That said, even though it has a strong image as a control-oriented rubber for beginners, it has no bad habits and performs well when used close to the table, so depending on how you use it, it could potentially become a rubber you can actually win with.Overall Speed Spin Control Hardness Little soft

This was the world's first tension rubber, and I used it exclusively for a long time.
If you use this rubber today, it hits back hard and the ball flies dead straight.
If you're used to today's spin-oriented tension rubbers, the ball feels very linear.
In terms of spin, I think both the amount of spin and how easily it grips the ball fall short.
That said, because it's not very sensitive to incoming spin and hits back hard, I think it can still shine in a game built mainly around flat hitting.

A friend of mine has this, and they let me hit with it, so I wanted to write about it.
First, maybe because I'd just been using a harder special-material blade beforehand, the feel was almost indistinguishable from wood.
Personally, it had been a while since I felt a blade flex this much.
Comparing it to other 5-ply blades, it's definitely a little harder, and I felt just a hint of ZLF.
It has a decent amount of bounce too, with a sense of launching the ball off the flex, so it seems like it would also pair well with tacky rubber.
And since it's used by Ai Fukuhara, I also felt it's a blade that brings out the strengths of variation-type rubbers like Attack 8 well.
Also, the grip is thin and designed to be easy for women to hold too, so I think it's a satisfying blade for players who play close to the table.
It's definitely not a cheap blade, but if the ball control, bounce, rubber compatibility, and feel all line up well for you, I think it's a blade worth the price.Overall Speed Spin Control Touch Hardness Little soft
