This is a blade I wanted for a while at one point. But when I actually test-hit it, it wasn't quite what I expected... They say it's thin and easy to put spin on, but if that's the case, I feel like a wood blade would do just fine (just my opinion). There's no standout high performance, but there's nothing bad about it either. That said, once you're at the level where you're using carbon blades, you tend to build your game around exploiting their strengths, so it didn't leave me with that strong an impression. Still, it's a good blade no doubt. Like Ovtcharov, it's easy to use with both hands close to, at mid-distance from, and far from the table. Rallies at mid-distance in particular really show off what carbon can do. Maybe you could drop the price a little, Donic...

For me, "Fortius" has always meant an all-wood feel that's easy to handle. This one is an inner-carbon type, with carbon placed inside. I expected something like a Bloodwood feel, but the feel was actually pretty hard. It has quite a bit of pop, and decent spin too. As expected, pairing it with Q3 or Q4 works well. Rather than fast attack close to the table, it's better suited to dynamic play like Oshima's. The reasonable part is... the price, I guess...

I realized I never actually reviewed this. A friend of mine uses it. I used it myself once too... The performance is high and good, but back then I just couldn't handle it well. My playing style is to finish the point before a long rally develops, and with Q3 the drive power just wasn't quite... Blocking and countering are easy, but it was a bit lacking in one-shot power... The performance itself is high, though, so it's a rubber worth picking up.

The theory that Neo3 is the strongest turned out to be true. It's easier to use than any other Hurricane. Compared to Turbo Orange it feels a bit softer, which makes it easier to handle. It puts out solid speed, and the spin is peak tacky-rubber spin - even from back position, the bounce is on par with tension rubber so you won't lose in exchanges. Another great thing about this rubber is that it suits any blade. Of course it works with pure wood, but it also brings out its own unique goodness with both outer and inner carbon blades. Recommended even for people trying a tacky rubber for the first time.

It's really easy to use. I think it's best used right after Retra, or so. It's probably at its best when you're just starting to learn the forehand topspin drive.
