This rubber's selling points are its high grip and sharp trajectory.

First off, it's nothing like Tenergy!
The reason is that this isn't an auto rubber that arcs the ball for you automatically when you hit it - it's a manual rubber where you have to create the arc entirely yourself.

Serve: When you don't want the ball to fly, it doesn't, so serves are easy to produce.

Receive: As mentioned above, since it doesn't fly much, stops and cutting pushes are easy.

Drive: I put this on the outer layer, and compared to Tenergy, both the bounce and the quality of spin are lower with this rubber.
However, that lets you swing all out, so you get a sharp, sinking, flat trajectory. (I think this trajectory is why it's marketed as Chinese-style.)

Block: You can feel the hardness, but since the sheet is strong, you don't need to worry about losing to the opponent's spin, so blocking is easy, and countering is easy too, of course.

Overall: I wouldn't recommend this to anyone looking for a Tenergy substitute. I'd recommend it to people who want to create their own arc, who want stability across serves, receives, and blocks, and who are confident in their swing speed.

This rubber has a soft 45-degree hardness, so it's easy to put spin on the ball and I felt like I could control it myself.
As for bounce, I'd say it's in the category of not flying very far at all compared to rubbers in the same price range (like Rozena or Rakza X).
So I think it suits people who want to build a feel for putting spin on the ball, or people who tend to overshoot a lot with their current rubber.
Serve: good for people who grab the ball and drive it forward.
Receive: the rubber itself doesn't fly much and is a bit unresponsive, so push and stop shots are easy to do. Chiquita was also easy, especially the spin-heavy version.
Forehand drive: this rubber suits players who generate speed through spin. If you put solid spin on it, it flies properly and you get quite a lot of spin too.
Backhand drive: depends on your arm, but the ball tends to land a little shallow, though it still goes in consistently.
Counter: because the topsheet is unresponsive and soft, this suits players whose counters work by using the opponent's own power to send the ball back.
If you're the type of counter player who generates your own power to drive the ball back, I think the rubber will just compress and you won't get much power out of it.
Block: I think it's easy to use for blocking on both forehand and backhand. Because it's soft and, in a good way, doesn't fly much, I think it also suits stretching the ball out or practicing chop-blocks.

    User review

Compared to Hurricane Neo3, you can really tell there's a huge difference in the quality of the top sheet and sponge.
The spin is obviously massive, and if you're someone who understands how to get distance out of tacky rubber, I got the impression the bounce can go pretty far too.
The short game and drive-based techniques are easy, but block-type techniques seem to need a bit of a knack.
If you switch straight from a tension rubber to this one, at first it'll probably feel like it doesn't fly because the way you need to generate distance is different, but once you get used to it and figure out how to get the ball moving, I think you'll find it's a great rubber for both spin and speed!
It also lasts longer than tension rubber, so even though it's expensive upfront, it's a rubber worth trying at least once!

I got this brand new through a friend's connection at the crazy low price of 2500 yen.
Here are my thoughts after hitting with it.
It's got good bounce and produces speed.
The trajectory is fairly flat, and compared to the typical spin-oriented tension rubbers out there, spin is a bit harder to generate, but if you swing through it properly, you do get proper spin.
Also, compared to common spin-oriented tension rubbers, it feels less affected by incoming spin. Because of that, I found counters easy to pull off.
I feel this rubber suits players who sink the ball in and hit through, rather than brushing it.

I used the Liberta Synergy in the Flare grip.
The Flare grip doesn't flare out at the bottom — it's more straight with a slight curve.
I'd say the grip is on the thin side.
Among special-material blades, rather than being the fly-off-the-blade, hard, low-spin type, this one flies a reasonable amount while still letting you put spin on the ball.
It's a special-material blade, but it feels closer to a wooden blade.
I think it suits players with average or below-average muscle power and swing speed.
Players with very fast swings and strong muscles apparently feel like "wait, the carbon's kicking in here!?", so I'd say it's better suited to players who rely on the blade and rubber to generate speed rather than generating it themselves.
It's not exactly cheap, so if you know someone who has one, it's worth trying it out first.
