Compared to the Double Extra, the sponge is moderately soft and easy to hit with. If you really sink the ball into the sponge, you can hit a good shot. The spin drops a little, but I've become less sensitive to the opponent's spin, which makes countering easier too. Control is good and speed isn't an issue — it feels fairly fast overall. I'd recommend it for the forehand of intermediate players or the backhand of advanced players.

Since this is a new Tibhar release produced by Kenta Matsudaira, I tried it out right away. The listed sponge hardness is 48 degrees, but the sheet seems to be on the softer side, making it easy to control, and it holds the ball well so spin is easy to put on. Drives tend to arc really high, and depending on how you hit it, I got a lot of overshoot misses. I think it also suits the backhand well. It felt a lot like the Tenergy 05 FX. It's a good value-for-money rubber that I think will appeal to just about everyone.

A friend let me try their Dignics 80, but it was hard and I couldn't really handle it well. It's definitely a top-class rubber, but the Tenergy 80 I bought lets the ball sink into it just the right amount, making it easy to generate spin. If you swing through properly, you get a fast, straight shot that dips sharply into the opponent's court. Serves, receives, and blocks are all no problem either. It's high spec across the board, but the lifespan is short and the topsheet is a bit weak and chips easily.

I used to have Quantum X Pro on before, but this definitely has more spin and speed. It's easy to use in the short game too. It's a bit heavy, so I went with the "thick" thickness. Not sure what I'll do once MX-D comes out, but for now I'm sticking with this rubber.

Serves especially were easy to put spin on, so my opponents seemed to have a hard time returning them. Also, drives have a flatter trajectory and good speed, so I think this suits players with an aggressive style of table tennis. I think beginners through intermediate players will be satisfied with it.
