I heard it was an outer-carbon blade so I tried it out, and it draws a solid arc, holds the ball well, and has good control. It's a blade that combines the strengths of inner-carbon and wood. If you're looking for that classic outer-carbon trait of a fast, flat ball release, you'd be better off with something like the 145 or Butterfly's Outer ALC. That said, on light hits the bounce isn't especially strong, but the harder you hit it, the more the power increases, giving you that real carbon-blade feel along with good spin. Overall it's an easy blade to use — you can switch to it from a plain wood blade without trouble, and I think it works well with short pips too.

I was looking for an affordable 5-ply, and this blade has really good control and is very easy to use. The feel is soft and flexible. The bounce is quite good too, so the ball flies further than expected. It pairs well with harder rubbers and short pips, and it's a blade that beginners through intermediate players can use without any trouble. The grip is on the thicker side, so be careful if you're buying it online.

I heard really good things about this in reviews, so I'm using it on my forehand. The first thing that surprised me was the sound — it makes a high-pitched sound off the ball, and the feel is incredibly fun. Maybe because the top sheet is soft relative to the sponge hardness, it feels like it really absorbs the ball and then releases it. It's not rock hard, so I think even people who don't like hard rubbers could use it on forehand. It also has plenty of spin and speed, so it's a rubber that works well for a wide range of players, from intermediate to advanced, and is easy for pretty much everyone to like.

The top ply is on the harder side while the core is soft, so on soft touches the long pips I have on my backhand side feel great to control and stop the ball really well. The blade face is quite large, which makes blocking easy. When attacking with your forehand you can't expect much distance, so it gets tough once you move away from the table, but the defensive performance is outstanding.

The blade alone weighed 103 grams. With OX short pips on the backhand and thick rubber on the forehand, it came to about 173 grams total. When I hit properly and made solid contact, the blade would flex and generate quite a lot of power. On the backhand, blocks held firm without getting pushed back, so I didn't feel any hardness from the blade — the weight bothered me a little, but overall it's a good blade. The blade surface is bigger, both in length and width, than a typical attacking blade, so even if the ball is a bit off-center you can still get it to fly. If you play an unorthodox style, definitely give this a try.
