STIGAmania (Experience: 11〜20 years) Really good, but definitely for advanced players

Bought this in Chinese penhold, 93g, while stock was low.
Good points
- Surprisingly good spin, with a moderate arc
- In the short game it flies a bit, but stays within a manageable range
- Speed comes naturally, so if you commit fully to spin on your drives, loop drives really bite in tooPoints I wasn't as fond of
- In the short game it lands surprisingly well with a mild feel, but hitting hard, like a forehand smash, is difficult
- When you do meet the ball hard, the feel is like a metal bat — there's no real grip on the ball, and not much sense of "having hit it"Overall impression
I switched over from the Timo Boll ALC. For stability, feel, and grip on the ball, the Timo Boll ALC wins, but if you're an advanced player aiming for the tightest possible balance between raising your speed and still being able to control the short game, I think this blade might be the one.
Going forward
I plan to keep using it and share more impressions later.Overall Speed Spin Control Touch Hardness little hard

First off, this blade really flies. And the rubber you pair it with matters a lot.
A lot of people have been using it recently, so I think it's a popular blade.
Definitely give it a try.Overall Speed Spin Control Touch Hardness hard

I used to use the Fan Zhendong ALC, but out of curiosity for more speed, I bought this one. At first it felt hard with a very quick ball release, making control difficult, but as I got used to it, the hardness settled in and the ball-holding got better. It pairs well with tacky rubber, and I've come to enjoy the metallic-sounding "ping" it makes when I hit a solid shot (lol). Stopping the ball over the table also works great, maybe thanks to the tacky rubber — no complaints there.

This is a blade made for hardbat table tennis, but it works fine for large ball too. Compared to other large-ball blades it's hard and doesn't bounce much, but if you swing through properly you get good shots. Its strength is that it lets you land the ball consistently whether you're close to the table or further back. Spin is relatively easy to generate. I'd recommend pairing it with a speed-oriented rubber.

Using the 91g Flare version.
I compared it with a friend's Viscaria Super ALC, and the Fan Zhendong Super ALC felt a bit harder and springier. Maybe because I normally use an inner ALC blade, the ball just took off on its own and I found it hard to control even with tacky rubber. Also, for the short game in general, I don't think you'll get good shots unless you're an advanced player who can control the blade's bounce well. That said, attacks from away from the table were stable and let me hit heavy shots.
I'd recommend this for advanced players who play mainly mid-distance to away from the table rather than close to it!Overall Speed Spin Control Touch Hardness hard

STIGAmania (Experience: 11〜20 years) Re-review: great combo with this rubber!

This is a follow-up review. I couldn't make it work paired with tension rubber, and right when I was about to give up on it, I changed my approach.
"If the blade flies too much, then use a rubber that doesn't fly as much, right?"
So I paired it with Hurricane Neo3... and it turned out to be the best combination. (Just my personal impression.)Too much flight → turned into a nicely balanced, just-right bounce
No grip on the ball → now grips solidly
The metal-bat feel → now has a real sense of gripping the ball; speed is still there, but I got that biting-into-the-ball sensation.Pros
- Spin-based techniques like serves and pushes got about 1.2x stronger than with tension rubber, and the opponent can't lift the ball up
- Counters land like crazy
- Fast attacks on backspin balls (only when I can pull off a tacky-style smack)Cons
- Rallies are tough (physically demanding, as expected)
- When I can't pull off the tacky-style hit and swing like it's tension rubber, I get a perfectly straight, spin-less ball (way more different than you'd expect)
- I'm still not used to it, so there are a lot of mistakesI played a match, and against an opponent I'd lost to 6 times in a row in the past, I won 3-0 — that's the kind of change this brought.
Apparently the sharpness and awkwardness of my serves and pushes are pretty intense now.Overall Speed Spin Control Touch Hardness little hard
