    Customer Reviews SummaryAI Summary
The Viscaria Super ALC is a high-end racket that excels with sticky and semi-sticky rubber, achieving exceptional performance through proper rubber selection. Its unique feel balancing ball control and elasticity is praised, though it's recognized as an advanced player's model where rubber choice and impact technique significantly influence performance.
    ■ Frequently Mentioned Points
    • Excellent compatibility with sticky and semi-sticky rubbers enhancing performance
    • Better ball retention than original Viscaria with outer-wood-like inner characteristics
    • Outstanding speed and spin balance with approximately 1.2x improved distance
    • Excellent compatibility with hard rubber sponge combinations
    • Advanced players' racket where technique and rubber selection are keys to success
    ■ Representative Voices
▲ PositiveExcellent ball control with appropriate bounce and very good compatibility with sticky rubber. Speed increases 1.2 times compared to Viscaria with rich spin and balanced control performance - a god-tier racket.
▽ CriticalDifficult compatibility with tension rubber causing excessive upward trajectory. Players with low technique or poor rubber selection may experience noticeable over-errors.

King of the Legitimate Prophet (Experience: 11〜20 years) A feeling like no other — call it a "beefed-up Timo Boll Spirit" Verified Purchase

      Player reviews

Even though it carries the Viscaria name, the 5.7mm blade thickness gives it a flex and ball-holding feel that's reminiscent of the Timo Boll Spirit.
For a Tamas special-material blade, the ball-holding is unusually good - when paired with a hard rubber, your drives really seem to dig deep into the opponent's court, almost like the trajectory you get hitting a drive with Dignics.
Tamas's existing special-material blades seem to be built with a heavy emphasis on rebound, but this one balances ball-holding and rebound together, so it doesn't fly wildly - neither the short game nor drives fly too much, so it never felt hard to control.
As advertised, it really shows its true value when paired with tacky or harder rubbers.
With ball-holding and rebound both balanced, it feels close to a controllable DHS blade.
That said, I've tried a bunch of rubber combinations, and I feel like existing rubbers haven't quite caught up to what this blade can do. For flat hits (smashes and blocks), the ball tends to fly upward, so with Dignics 09c it goes up too much - you'd need to close the racket angle, or go with an easier-to-handle tacky-tension rubber closer to a tension rubber, which I found easier to manage if you want to keep forehand smashes and lobs in your arsenal too.

Hide SEED (Experience: More than 20 years) I bet Super ALC blades will only get more popular from here

      Player reviews

      Intermediate to advanced level
Previously used the Revoldia and Timo Boll ALC
The chance of winning the point outright goes up
It doesn't give your opponent an easy blocking angle or any time to react
At first the feel made it seem like it lacked spin, but once you get used to it and start hitting with a solid impact, it turns out to be a racket that grips the ball well
Fine technique like serves, chiquitas, and stops takes some getting used to, but it's manageable with practice
When I was using 09C on the backhand, I noticed the Revoldia CNF started lacking distance from around mid-distance play
The Super ALC changes that to a bounce that's just right and easy to control
The flared handle also feels natural and easy to grip
Drives from away from the table have real power too
Since the ball gets faster, when your opponent's block connects and returns it, you sometimes get caught off guard by a return you can't react to
This racket feels like it's slightly above my current skill level, but there's a lot about it that appeals to my aggressive playing style, so I've made it my main racket and plan to keep using it for a while
One thing to note: it might not suit players with lower technical skill, players who pair it with the wrong rubber, or players with a rally-focused style

    • STIGA Mania

STIGA Mania (Experience: 11〜20 years) A good racket that's quite picky about rubber

      Player reviews

Like others have said, this might be a tough blade to use unless you go with a slightly tacky or tacky rubber. In my case, I'm not great with the 09C, so pairing it with a STIGA slightly-tacky rubber worked out well.
      ■ The feel is strange. It's fairly fast, yet the feel is somewhat soft. So whether you like this odd feel or not is probably what decides whether this blade works for you.
      ■ For the rubber to pair with it, I think a harder rubber, tacky or slightly tacky, is the standard choice.
      ■ If you go in thinking of it as an upgraded Viscaria, it might feel off. I really think you should try hitting with it before buying.

Jiro-loving Ratchman Reminded me of my prime.

      Player reviews

I really love the feel of this blade. Finding a rubber that matches it well was tough though.

I gave control and spin a 9, but honestly a 10 would be fine too! It doesn't feel difficult to me at all.
Honestly, how easy it is to handle changes a lot depending on whether you use tension rubber or a slightly tacky tension/Hurricane series rubber.
With tension rubber it's a bit tricky.
Once I put on a slightly tacky rubber, it became much easier to handle. A slightly tacky rubber with a hard sponge and soft sheet matches this blade really well.

Even though it's an outer-ply blade, the feel grips the ball more than I expected.
With a slightly tacky tension rubber, it's not just fast - you can get both control and power at the same time.
Topspin drives aren't hard either, and smashes are easy to control.
It seems like whether this is a godly blade or a terrible one really depends on the rubber.
I think it's easy to handle not just for advanced players but for intermediate players too.

This blade was pretty fast. I felt it's strong for topspin-oriented play.
      Definitely give it a try.

I like Viscaria (Experience: 2〜3 years) Great match with tacky rubber

      Player reviews

This is a review of a 90g unit.
Forehand: Skyline Neo3 (domestic version), blue sponge
Backhand: Mingxing Hurricane 8, Chen Meng version
The forehand topspin drive has a great balance of spin and speed, and it's easy to do topspin rallies too.
The backhand also has a great balance of speed and spin.
      Total weight is 203g.
I'd definitely recommend this to anyone who wants to put heavy tacky rubbers on it.

Peach (Experience: 11〜20 years) Soft, deep boing feel

      Player reviews

I don't think this is the "wing" blade everyone talks about, or a super fast blade. It's a really strange blade that grips the ball first before sending it flying. I think it's also suited for women or kids without much power. The ball also feels like it has more weight behind it.
The grip being a bit thick is just how Butterfly blades are, I guess...
It's really a great blade, so I recommend it!
