If you buy this expecting it to be like the Acoustic, you'll be disappointed
It has none of that great ball-holding the Acoustic is known forThat said, as a carbon blade it's quite excellent
Spin feels easier to put on than with other outer-carbon blades tooIt also pairs well with short pips, and I think it'd be a great match for a Mima Ito-style player.

My impressions after three years of use are that this blade works with pretty much any rubber.
I sometimes see reviews saying it flies too much or is hard to handle, but I think that's probably compared to the plain Acoustic or a 5-ply wood blade.
In my assessment, some beginner blades these days actually have worse control, and I think this one is easier for beginners to use than those.
It's a blade you can use for both grazing shots and hard hits.
The stiff, flexible blade has just the right amount of hardness, giving good grip on the ball without holding it too long.
Even on hard hits, the ball sinks into the rubber nicely, giving you stability and satisfying speed.
It's a fairly stiff outer-carbon blade, but the trajectory has a fairly arcing shape to it.
The grip is on the thin side, even thinner than "thin," but even with my large hands it doesn't bother me much.
Rather than sanding down a thick grip, I think it's easier to wrap grip tape around a thin one, and I'd rather have it thin than thick.Overall Speed Spin Control Touch Hardness little hard

I'd say this might be the best Japanese-made blade out there. How should I put it - the feel and the way the ball snaps off it is oddly addictive.
At first the impression is like, "huh, it doesn't bounce as much as I thought?" but once you keep hitting with it, it's more like, "wait, this really does bounce!"
As for spin, among outer-carbon blades this is without a doubt the easiest to put spin on by a wide margin, and the spin actually takes on the ball. That comes down to the perfect 5.5mm blade thickness combined with the way it shows its outer-carbon character.
Speed is its biggest feature -
"whenever you want to put on speed, whether close to the table, mid-distance, or away from the table, you can bring it out, it's easy to bring out, and it comes out!"
- that's the feeling you get. This is a truly wonderful spec and probably the Acoustic Carbon's greatest strength.
What's really surprising is that, despite all this talk of bounce, in situations where you want to keep the ball in check (moments where you don't want it to bounce - blocks or stops), it has this mysterious ball-absorbing quality where the ball settles down and stops easily. That absorbing quality is probably the secret behind why it can suddenly add power and send the ball flying whenever you want it to bounce. Of all the carbon blades I've used, including ones from other manufacturers, this one personally left the best impression on me.
For a carbon blade, it flexes even more than wood, and it's easy to put spin on the ball.
It's a bit on the heavy side, but not enough to bother you. The blade is on the thinner side, but blocking and the like feel completely natural.
Close to the table, mid-distance, or further back - wherever you are, the blade's specs really shine.

The best A different class, a different quality

'A satisfying bounce' - that phrase describes this blade perfectly.
It's a completely different animal from the usual category of "flies too much, sails off on its own" high-bounce blades.
It's a blade with a refined, pleasant bounce.
Its character is such that if you want to put spin on the ball it flexes firmly, and when you want to flick it snaps back sharply.
In moments where you need both, it really takes off with a solid punch.

Among MADE IN JAPAN blades (the special-material type), I can confidently say this is the best one I've ever used. Other reviews mention the great feel and flex, but for me personally, fine short-game techniques like the stop, flick, and chiquita are easy to pull off exactly as intended. And when you back off the table, it bounces plenty and the ball comes off in a satisfying way.

Being thin, it flexes more than you'd expect from an outer-carbon blade, so you get a real sense of putting spin on the ball, and it's very easy to hit with!
