Since it's a 7-ply, I tried putting short pips on it. With that, blocking is solid, and my pattern of moving the opponent side to side and finishing with a smash is consistent, ha. But the weight is a bit of a drawback, lol. Still, even a 2nd-year junior high kid can use it, so I think it's fine. If possible, I'd skip the side tape to shave off a bit of weight. As for the short game, no complaints at all — serves have good spin, there's plenty of power on a single shot, and I don't lose out even in topspin rallies, lol.

I used the Provincial Hurricane Blue Sponge version.
The blade itself is all wood, and the top ply felt soft, so it worked really well with the hard Hurricane rubber. Even with Rozena, blocking is easy, and the short game feels stable with this blade. Being a 7-ply, it obviously has plenty of speed,
and on top of that it generates a lot of spin too.
So even with a tacky rubber instead of a tension rubber, you can still hold your own playing from further back.Overall Speed Spin Control Touch Hardness little hard

It was probably down to the rubber combination, but at first the ball flew way too long a lot of the time.
Once you get used to it, though, everything becomes easy — the power and speed to put a shot away in one hit, control over the table, and plenty of spin. It's a wonderful blade with great value for money too.
Once I have some spare cash, I'd like to buy another one and try it with a tacky rubber.

This is the first 7-ply blade I've bought, and I'm very happy with it — it has good flex, makes it easy to put spin on the ball, and both speed and control are easy to manage.
A lot of other reviews mention it being heavy, but since I've been swinging around Chinese rubber on both sides up to now, I didn't really notice it.

Paired with the GF rubbers, I can consistently return the ball with stability, and the feel is great too. I'm happy with the performance overall. That said, the blade is on the large side, which makes it easy to end up heavy, so if you're using the heavier GF T48, you'll want to watch the weight of the rubber on the other side.
