I normally use the Inner Force Layer ALC, but I was struggling with a lot of overshoots (I'm just not very good, lol), so I decided to buy this to really lock down the basics (^^)
My impression: the short game stays under control, and the ball only goes as far as you swing it, so I got really into it! Speed feels a little lacking, but close-to-the-table blocks and counters are super easy!
It does feel a bit heavy, but I think it can work well for a wide range of players, from beginners to advanced!Overall Speed Spin Control Touch Hardness little hard

As far as I know, this feels like it doesn't bounce much for a 7-ply, but I don't think it's really that it lacks bounce — it's more that, for a 7-ply, it holds the ball well. It's definitely not one of those super-fast flying 7-plies. If someone thinks it flies too much, they're probably swinging too slowly or not hitting through the ball properly. With a certain level of skill and swing speed, it's a really capable blade. Meeting the ball and hard hits are top-notch.
Personally I like the shape of the handle. The one thing I can't get behind is that the wood is clearly weak when peeling off side tape or rubber — that part really does feel like you get what you pay for.
Other than that, everything about it is great. My favorite part is honestly just the overall feel. As someone who loves 7-ply blades, I'm very satisfied with this one.Overall Speed Spin Control Touch Hardness Little soft

On the offensive side, drives are fast with plenty of spin, while on the defensive side blocks and pushes don't fly too much, making them really easy to control. The short game is easy too, and it's strong even from further back.
Nothing to complain about, really. And it's cheap too.
A lot of people say it's heavy, but 7-plies are heavy to begin with, so that's just unavoidable — and if it were lighter, it would lose the power that makes a 7-ply what it is, so I don't really think that counts as a downside.Overall Speed Spin Control Touch Hardness Little soft

I switched from the TSP Swat looking for more power. What I liked is that it doesn't bounce much on light shots, but when you really commit to the ball, it has plenty of speed. It also has enough speed from mid-distance to hold its own in rallies, and I was surprised that it didn't feel hard to use over the table despite that. The drawback is the weight, but I think that's manageable by using thick sponge or a lighter rubber on the backhand. Also, my Fortius FT is 92g, and I also have an SK7 at the same 92g, but probably due to the balance point, the Fortius felt lighter with the same rubber on it. On top of that, it's priced at around 6,000 yen, which is cheap for the performance, so I'd really encourage anyone who's been using a more stability-focused blade to give this one a try.

To put it simply, it feels like it flies a bit more than the classic all-wood Clipper Wood.
It's made hitting/smashing with short pips easier. The power on forehand drives is outstanding too.
Best of all, getting this level of performance for such a low price is amazing — it makes spending 18,000 yen on other blades feel almost silly.Overall Speed Spin Control Touch Hardness little hard

This is a blade with a simple feel that really is like a classic all-wood 7-ply.
It doesn't have that vibration you often get with inner-carbon blades, and once you get used to it, you really start to feel like you're gripping the ball.
What's great about this blade is that it combines good bounce with plenty of spin.
The ball stays on the blade a bit longer, but you can still hit fast shots, so you can get exactly the shot you're aiming for whether it's a loop or a fast drive.
The downside is the weight.
Because of the balance point, it feels fairly heavy, which tends to make my backhand unstable.
So honestly I'd like to put Hurricane on the backhand too, but I'm using a lighter rubber there to keep the balance.

The one I bought was the Fortius FT Light, but it was still quite heavy, and it felt thick in the hand too. For things like Q3 in thick or max thickness, I think it suits lobbing-type play well. I wouldn't really recommend it to someone who's used a thin sponge before. With thick sponge on both sides, serving might be a bit harder, but on hard hits and smashes it produces amazing speed and power. I think it's a good fit for someone who's used to a bouncy setup.
