I used to use the Jun Mizutani ZLC, but it bounced too much and made receives and the short game unstable, so I bought this one looking for more stability there.
There are three good points.
1. The feel is soft and you get a real sense of gripping the ball. I think that gives a sense of security when hitting forehand drives. Even with Hurricane NEO on it, the feel stays soft, so it also pairs well with tacky rubbers.
2. As expected, the short game and receives come out reliably. Stops and pushes almost never pop up. That said, because the feel is soft, it takes some courage to really commit to a heavy backspin shot since it feels like it might fly off.
3. You don't get overpowered on blocks or drives, so you get stronger in rallies. Blocks especially are very stable. Even just touching the ball can be enough to get it in.One last point — it's a somewhat heavy blade, so make sure it doesn't cause problems with your backhand or switching direction. If that's not an issue for you, it's a blade with great value for money that I highly recommend.

Currently switching blades in this order: SWAT → Fan Zhendong ALC → Fortius.
Compared the Fan Zhendong (91g) and the Fortius (90.5g), both with G1 on them.Vs. Fan Zhendong
- Bounces quite a bit. Has a wide range between minimum and maximum output (easy to control).
If the Fan Zhendong's bounce is a 10, the Fortius gives you about a 9. Might have been different with a slightly heavier individual blade.
- The grips were pretty similar. The Fortius feels slightly thicker. The Fan Zhendong tapers thinner toward the blade, but on the Fortius the thinness at both ends of the grip doesn't change much. People with big hands should like this grip!
- Maybe thanks to the 6.4mm blade thickness, it feels like the ball hits the edge less often.
- Chiquita and stop got easier to do, but for some reason pushes felt harder to cut sharply lol. Maybe I'm gripping the ball too much, so it comes out floaty.Vs. SWAT
- The feel was soft and had more of a woody feel than the SWAT. That might be because the SWAT's top ply is processed somehow.
- I think the SWAT is an unusual pick even among all-wood blades, so I'd recommend this one for people making their all-wood debut.Overall Speed Spin Control Touch Hardness Little soft

I used the Fortius FT (FL)
and became the men's singles champion of the North Nagasaki district about 10 years ago.
Back then, Yuya Oshima and a lot of the top junior high and high school players nationwide were using it, and being the trend-follower I am, I bought one right away.
The Fortius FT is a blade I can trust.
Despite how well the ball holds, it bounces quite a bit.
The downside is that, since I was weaker back then than I am now, the blade's weight was too much for me, and I think I was a bit late on my swing at times because of it.
Actually, it also pairs well with short pips, so during my high school days it was the best partner blade I could ask for.
These days, I think you can really feel how good this blade is if you put Tibhar's plain Evolution MX-P 2.1mm on the forehand side.Overall Speed Spin Control Touch Hardness Little soft

For a 7-ply, this is a blade that's easy to use for both hitting and topspin drives.
- Ball release
It's fast compared to something like the Clipper or SWAT, but I think it's fine as long as you're using a medium-hardness rubber (around 45 degrees).- Feel
The catalog lists it as "hard," but it's not actually that hard — it has a wood-like hardness. It's clearly softer than inner-carbon type materials.- Spin
If you can get the ball to properly sink into the rubber when you hit, you get really heavy balls. It's also reassuring in topspin rallies, as long as you're at mid-distance from the table.- Speed
I think it has the speed you'd expect from an all-wood 7-ply.- Short game

You also don't get overpowered much.Overall it's a really good blade, but there are two concerns:
- The weight is balanced toward the tip (because the blade size is long vertically)
- The blade itself is heavy
These make it tough when switching from forehand to backhand quickly or when you can't get a full swing in.

Borrowed a friend's and tried it out. Some unknown tacky rubber on the forehand, Tenergy 80 thick on the backhand.
I'll write about the backhand side.
Since the rubber is thick, the blade felt light and was easy to swing through fully.
Even though it's thick, the bounce is plenty, and the spin and trajectory on drives were nasty. The feel is good too — a soft, woody feel.
Could Tenergy × Fortius FT actually be the ultimate combo...?Also, I personally love the grip.
I've played table tennis for years, but I still have this habit of changing my grip when switching from forehand to backhand.
But with this blade, I could switch smoothly without changing my grip. For reference, my hands are on the larger side.Also, the blade is smaller than the one I currently use (Ma Lin Carbon). I think that's another reason it's easy to swing through.
With a good rubber and a good blade, I felt like even a thick rubber works just fine. For someone like me who doesn't practice or exercise much and has neither stamina nor strength, this combo — light and easy to swing hard — felt great.

The average weight is over 90g, so it's quite heavy.
But if you can somehow deal with the weight, it's quite a masterpiece of a blade.It pairs excellently with short pips.
Long pips bounce a bit too much off it and are tricky to use.It bounces a lot, but it holds the ball well, so you can hit powerful drives.

My overall impression is that it's a 7-ply that can do anything. I think the bounce is similar to the SWAT.
The feel is on the softer side; the ball doesn't get out of control in the short game, and once you start hitting it's very stable. That heaviness might be what contributes to that stability.
Speed and spin are neither great nor bad — nothing that really stands out, but nothing you'd feel limited by either.I wanted a heavy blade for short pips on my backhand, so I picked out a 96g individual, but the average is 92g, so it tends to run heavy if you go inverted rubber on both sides.
