Wanokiwami - a unique project. Takeshi Wanaka, a Japanese carpenter with the focus on processing noble woods and andro developers worked together hand in hand. Wanaka, a well known greatness in his field with many international awards, brings all his know-how of selection, processing and bonding premium-wood into this project. The andro development team has deliberately left a free hand to Takeshi Wanaka in many respects to allow influences from another wood processing branch. The andro development team has impressively accomplished to guide these influences and ideas into the right direction and the result is a qualitatively outstanding blade line. The Wanokiwami AO convinces you right from the moment you take it into your hand for the first time. Carefully grinded corners, an ergonomically adapted thumb pad and 100% evenly thick veneers – that’s pure feeling!
The wood’s soul is a 4.2mm thick core veneer providing the wood a high flexural strength resulting in a direct and straightforward ball-feedback. Being a 5-ply blade, it's stable and has no quirks.
The spin is so-so, but you get decent speed, so I think it's good for close-to-the-table play.
True to the name Wa no Kiwami, it tends to give you a really smooth, flexible trajectory, which is nice.
The character of the wood really comes through, so I think it'll be a great partner for all-wood fans.
Personally, I think this blade suits long pips and short pips.

The grip looks nice and the feel on contact is good — I think any 5-ply user should try this at least once.

The blade head is big, so blocking is stable.
Even balls you think you won't be able to reach surprisingly come back.
It's on the heavier side, and the FL grip especially feels front-heavy toward the tip.
The ST grip is more balanced toward the handle compared to FL. Even if you're an FL person, it's worth trying.
If you add a side weight near the handle on the FL, the balance shifts toward the handle and you stop noticing the weight.Among blades with a soft feel on contact, this one really doesn't vibrate much.
If you like the soft, poppy feel typical of 5-ply blades, I'd highly recommend this.
Also recommended for anyone who finds the Acoustic a bit too hard. The flight is good too.
There's some variation between individual blades — rather than a lighter one, something around 86-88g holds the ball well and gives you good speed.The speed is a bit lacking, but I'd recommend it to 5-ply fans who want stability.
It's faster than the Korbel and the Acoustic.
It holds up fine in topspin rallies from mid-distance too.
The rebound is strong when you hit hard, and it puts spin on the ball.
It's also easy to chop even when your form breaks down.You can also adjust the flight with your choice of rubber.
I tried the Alba 23, but I couldn't get used to how the ball comes off a bit too fast for a 7-ply blade,

The feel on contact is pleasant, and it's easy to put spin on drives. It also pairs well with Vega-series rubbers.

First off, the feel on contact is great — the harder you hit, the better the sound. Serves and chops also get plenty of spin on them. It's a 5-ply blade, but even playing further back from the table, you won't easily lose out in power exchanges. That said, it's a bit lacking in control, so it might not be the best fit for anyone who prioritizes control.

This is a review for Chinese penhold.
I tried this after seeing it introduced on a table tennis shop's website as an attacking blade that pairs well with long pips. I was focused on pushes and forehand attacking techniques, so I was looking for an all-wood 5-ply blade in the ALL+ to OFF- range.
The slightly harder surface material brings out the sharpness of long pips, and it also makes it easy to put spin on backhand shots and serves. The manufacturer labels it as an attacking blade, but it's also easy to control, so I think it works for all-round play too. It might feel a bit lacking for hard hitters who prioritize power and speed.

Blank man (Experience: ４〜５ years) Just plain easy to use!

My main blade is the Innerforce Layer ZLF, but I use this one occasionally as a backup.
I bought it purely because I liked the design, so it's not my main blade, but it's got no quirks and is generally easy to use. The grip is actually more comfortable to hold than the ZLF's (though that's a matter of preference).
It can't beat my main ZLF + Tenergy combo, but it's also really easy to put a lot of spin on the ball with this one.
Defense is easy too, and I can't really find any real flaws.If I had to nitpick, it might fall a little short on power, but in terms of design and usability, I think it's a great blade all around.
