I'm using the slim straight grip, and switching directions is easy, plus it's really easy to get the blade angle right. On top of that, it's lightweight, so it's nothing but good news. It's 89g. You can play from mid-distance or away from the table just fine too. I also use the Oru Evo, and compared to that, this one's about 1.5 times faster, with slightly less ball hold than the Oru Evo, about the same for blocking, and both have a soft feel that's just great, with no quirks at all. That's the gist of it. It's a bit heavy, so I think medium or thick on the backhand gives plenty of bounce.

I'm currently torn between this and STIGA's Infinity.
A harder rubber probably suits it best.
Right now I've got a tacky rubber on it.
That said, a lot of these blades weigh over 90g, so many people probably need to use a lighter rubber on the backhand to make it workable.
It's got good ball hold and drives really extend through the shot. Since it's got a lot of bounce, you'll need technique to cover controlled shots like blocks and the short game.
It doesn't feel much like plastic ball at all, so I think it's a great blade to recommend right now.Overall Speed Spin Control Touch Hardness Little soft

I love the feel of STIGA wood blades, and I've been using Clipper-series blades for 20 years now. Even with prices going up, this one's still around 10,000 yen. The performance is well beyond the price, so I recommend it!
Because the handle is hollow, the feedback that comes through to your hand really resonates. The weight is balanced toward the top, so centrifugal force helps generate a lot of spin — it might suit mid-distance drive attackers.
With the "CR System," the top ply has a fan-shaped area of harder coating. Rubber tends to peel off easily, so I'd recommend applying glue thickly.
It has plenty of bounce, but it still keeps that wood-specific "ball hold" feel.
Probably because of the plastic ball, the thickness has changed from 6.3mm on the previous model to 7mm. The weight is in the 90g range, so it might feel a bit on the heavy side.
STIGA also offers the SFLA (Slim Flare), which has a thinner handle you can choose instead, so players with smaller hands, including women, might want to look into that option instead.Overall Speed Spin Control Touch Hardness little hard

I used to use the Nittaku Adelie, also a 7-ply blade, before this. I'll write this review comparing the two. I think its best point is that it keeps the feel of wood while still combining great speed and spin. Compared to the Adelie, I feel like I get more stability and power even from mid-distance and away from the table. I'd recommend this to anyone who likes the feel of wood but wants more bounce.

First of all, the feel is really good. It feels about the same whether you use celluloid or poly balls. Since the inside of the handle is hollow, you can use centrifugal force to hit fast topspin drives. There aren't many rubbers that don't suit it, and it also pairs really well with short pips, so I think it's a blade you can recommend for a wide range of playing styles.

On the backhand I use a softer rubber to make blocking easier, and on the forehand a firmer rubber like G-1, which lets me mix up my attacks on the 3rd and 5th balls.
