I tried tension rubber on both sides. My impression: it flies too much. The backhand is fine, but on the forehand it really flies — it feels like the ball goes even without putting in effort. I put on max thickness, but thick would have been plenty. As for spin, it might actually hold the ball better than you'd expect given how much it flies. Other than being a bit much for control and the short game, I think it's good. Next I want to try a tacky tension rubber.

The performance justifies the price — it's an inner blade but it bounces a ton. I've got Hurricane on it and it bounces enough to cause overshoot misses!
If you put tension rubber on it, control gets really hard — Hurricane is just about right for it!
Maybe I'll make this my main blade lol. The backhand seems like it'd work better paired with a slightly softer tension rubber!Overall Speed Spin Control Touch Hardness little hard

Push: it really rips with spin.

...hard to hit... hitting down from above works, but yeah, it's just not suited for it.
Still, I'm glad I bought it.

This is the blade I'm currently using. Speed is beyond complaint, and since it's an inner special-material blade, spin bites really well too. On light taps there's no weird feeling at all and it's easy to control, but when you hit hard, or block an opponent's hard hit, the bounce is strong and blocking really requires some technique.
I feel like this is best suited to advanced players who can control that bounce.
Of course it also pairs well with Chinese rubbers, so if you feel it bounces too much, it might be worth trying a Chinese rubber.Overall Speed Spin Control Touch Hardness Little soft

It's a shame it's not JTTA-approved, but among inner blades this one bounces way more than the rest.
I used to use a Butterfly outer ALC, and the feel on this one is softer than that.

I liked the grip shape of Nittaku's Ma Long Carbon and got interested in the Hurricane Long 5, so I bought one.
The forehand was Provincial Hurricane Blue sponge, and while it still has that "gripping" feel, it bounces really well.
Because of that, if you don't have power the ball comes out flat and easy to counter, so it's tricky to handle.
Also, there's quite a bit of variation depending on the serial number printed on the grip, so one with a lower number is better.Overall Speed Spin Control Touch Hardness Little soft
