The Nostalgic Offensive is a 5-ply blade build with the same hand selected middle veneers used in the Offensive Classic, however for the outer veneer we use a hard yet elastic natural wood called “Wenge”.

This is one of the currently trendy 5-ply blades, pairing the Offensive Classic's core plies with wenge outer veneers. The blade is 5.9mm thick.
I expected it to feel like an updated Offensive Classic, but the feel and bounce actually end up closer to the Clipper Wood. The trajectory is a bit flatter than the Clipper's.
It flexes when you hit hard, so I felt that softer tacky rubbers don't suit it well. I think it's better to pick a rubber where you can feel the hardness of the rubber or the blade.
This was my first time using a blade with wenge outer plies. Going by the looks, I'd been avoiding it, expecting a hardwood-type feel, but this time I was pleasantly surprised.Overall Speed Spin Control Touch Hardness little hard

I think the Nostalgic Offensive is a powerful, bouncy blade among 5-ply wood blades.
Rather than being a stability-focused blade, it's more one that keeps decent grip on the ball while pushing the attacking power up quite a bit.
Personally I really like it.

I used a heavy 94g specimen. The bounce was decent enough, but for 94g I felt like it didn't produce as much speed and distance as you'd expect. It really feels like an all-round blade with just a little extra bounce added. Spin is easy to put on, and the short game is no problem either. Blocking was stable, thanks to the weight of this particular blade. For someone used to special-material blades, the attacking power will probably feel lacking. Recommended for people who like wood blades and want stability along with reasonably decent offensive power.

The feel on impact is really good, it puts on plenty of spin, and it has good speed too, so overall it's great. Also, a key point is that the grip is thin and comfortable to hold. You might need a little time to get used to it, or it could end up flying too much. (The design looks cool too.)

I'm an equipment nerd, and the Nostalgic Offensive is my 10th blade.
Up until now I'd only used special-material blades, so this is my first all-wood racket. I coach junior high schoolers, and I quietly get to test out blades on the side. What got me to buy this one was that I hate the hard feel of hitting in winter, so I went through a lot of trial and error looking for a blade that's soft but still bounces well.
The feel has some flex to it, is soft and easy to hit with, and gives just the right amount of distance. I feel like a slightly harder rubber suits it well.
Next I want to try it with a strong tacky rubber like Hurricane, or with Golden Tango.
The grip is on the thin side, so people with big hands might find it a bit odd? The grip surface also has a somewhat rough texture that seems like it'd help with grip, though that might come down to personal taste? I really hope this becomes the number one most popular blade!Overall Speed Spin Control Touch Hardness Little soft
