Vega Elite from XIOM: Equipped with a soft version of the "Carbo Sponge". This unique sponge gives a soft and exciting feel, and provides the same level of energy efficiency as the harder Vega Pro and Asia. The new "Hyper Elasto" top layer of natural rubber has a special pimple structure for great trampoline effect and extraordinary dwelling time. The combination of the special sponge and top layer endows Vega Elite with mighty control, as well as an innovative spin performance. It creates the largest safe zone (window) above the net for topspin attacks. As a result, it will greatly reduce the probability of mistakes. A loud metallic sound at contact also helps the player adjust their shot.
Vega Elite is recommended for players of modern European style, who play with continuous and controlled topspin on both sides.

    Customer Reviews SummaryAI Summary
Highly evaluated for its soft feel and excellent control performance, while speed and spin are intentionally moderate, positioning it as an entry-level model for tension rubbers or ideal for backhand use. Recognized as a cost-effective option suitable for beginners to intermediate players.
    ■ Frequently Mentioned Points
    • Extremely soft and pleasant touch
    • Superior control performance
    • Moderate speed and spin
    • Ideal for tension rubber beginners
    • Highly recommended for backhand placement
    ■ Representative Voices
▲ PositiveVery soft and easy to control, the ball flies without much swing, making it perfect for beginners. Especially recommended for kids and female players.
▽ CriticalToo soft causes the sheet to lose tension on hard hits, resulting in the ball dropping. Short game techniques become difficult as the soft rubber bounces even on light touches.

Great for meet-hitting shots. It's easy to control, so it's easy to place the ball where you want.

Beginner kid (Experience: 4〜5 years) Good intro to tension rubber

      Reviews by user

I tried it on both forehand and backhand, and I think it works fine on the backhand for intermediate players as long as you're not someone who hits really strong drives.
      ●Drive
It's too soft, so when you hit hard the sheet gives out and the ball drops. Meet-hitting hard also loses power. If your backhand is weak, the soft sponge and sheet can cover for you on control and speed, so it should feel stable. The sheet's grip isn't that strong, though, so lifting backspin balls can be tough without solid technique.
      ●Serve
Long serves are hard, short ones are easy.
      ●Over the table
Pushes and the like tend to float, so it felt tricky, and while chiquitas don't have much speed, the ball sinks into the sponge so spin is easy to generate.

Performance-wise it feels like an entry-level tension rubber. For someone using tension rubber for the first time, I think Elite on the backhand paired with Europe or Asia on the forehand would be a nice balance.

I thought it was a bit too soft.
It was so soft that it wasn't very easy to control.
I feel like it would be really nice if it were just a bit harder...

Stable cut man (Experience: 4〜5 years)

This might depend on the person, but I'd recommend putting it on your forehand. I'm writing this from a chopper's point of view, not an attacker's. First off, the best thing about this rubber is that it grips the ball for spin like crazy. Honestly, it grips more than the Vega Europe, and the bite on your chops is strong too, so I think it works fine for anyone from beginner to intermediate level. It's not just good for biting chops, either — drives are easy with it too, so if you're a chopper who's curious about this rubber, I'd say give it a try.

Not really beginner-oriented, but it grips the ball well and the control is good too — it's a pretty solid rubber that all kinds of players could use.

I thought it was a beginner's rubber, but it turned out to be quite high performance. I'd say the speed and spin are both on the good side.
The control is good, so it's easy to use.
I especially recommend it for kids and women!!

Sho-go (Experience: 11〜20 years) If you like soft rubbers

      Reviews by user

It's part of the Vega series, but this one doesn't have a carbon sponge.
The sheet feels moist and the friction doesn't feel that strong — though that's only compared to high-grip rubbers like the Omega or Evolution.
It does lose out in power on the forehand of strong male players, but it has no quirks and gives a clear feel on contact.
The ball tends to land in your opponent's court easily, so I think even non-beginners can be fully satisfied with this rubber.
Also, being a soft rubber, you can really feel the ball sinking into the sponge, which makes it satisfying to hit with.
