Vega China from Xiom: The combination of sticky surface top sheet with extremely hard sponge has been a key weapon for China to dominate the modern table tennis world. But the uncomfortable truth is that unhealthy external chemicals like speed glue are required to balance out the proper elasticity from these hard rubbers. With world renowned Tensor Bios technology, the hard sponge on Vega China has been softened to reach the proper elasticity.
- Pimples in
- Superior spin performance achieving high rotation comparable to sticky rubber
- Unique ball feel with hard sponge and soft sheet combination
- Excellent for defensive techniques such as cutting and pushing
- Requires adaptation time for users transitioning from tension rubbers
- Difficult for beginners; strongly suited for advanced players

I saw a lot of reviews calling this "mediocre,"
but I actually thought it was quite good.
It's true that it's a bit lukewarm, but I think that
actually works in its favor.
The topsheet is soft, so even when you sink the ball into it on a drive, you still get spin,
and on serves, if you grip the ball with the tackiness, you get a lot of spin.
Smash speed is plenty too.
The only thing is I found it a bit hard to serve short.
It's closer to a spin-tension rubber than a true tacky-tension one,
but the benefits of tackiness still come through clearly. All Speed Spin Control

My impression after trying this rubber is that it draws a solid arc and lands right where I aim, so it feels like a rubber I can trust. Also, I use it on my backhand, and it makes the short game really easy.

Used on the forehand side.
I'd been using tension rubber, but I started getting more overshooting mistakes and it felt like the ball was flying too much, so I wondered how a tacky rubber with a harder sponge would be. I put it on thinking it might hold back the flight too.
At first it didn't fly much, so even forehand hitting was hard, but I noticed that adding a bit of spin improved the flight. After about a month, for some reason the speed picked up too, and I could do normal rallies from mid-distance.
Control is difficult — blocks come back with a bit of a knuckle effect, and the opponent often nets it. Also, a loose ball that I thought would go long instead loses speed and often clips the edge for a lucky point.
If you put it on the backhand, it's easily affected by the opponent's spin, so I don't think it suits someone who mainly receives with their backhand.
Forehand flicks got easier since overshooting mistakes went away compared to tension rubber.
Serves bite really well, so conversely I ended up using a lot of knuckle serves, which made it easier to score on the third ball.
Smashes bounce heavy and then drop down instead of bouncing further, so they're hard to return.
Overall, honestly I think it's a difficult rubber, but once you get used to it, I think spin, speed, blocking, and everything else start leading to points. All Speed Spin Control Hardness Little hard

I only borrowed it from a friend, but
it's really easy to put spin on serves!!
Also, when you sink the ball into it and hit a topspin drive,
you get an incredibly fast, spinny ball that lands solidly on the opponent's side!!
It's hard and heavy, so I'd recommend it to people with power!!All Speed Spin Control Hardness Little hard

The topsheet is soft and the sponge is hard.
It doesn't feel as hard as the listed hardness,
but whether you like that feel or not is a toss-up.
Topspin drives are good, but on things like smashes
it's not stable. You don't get speed.
Suited to defensive players. All Speed Spin Control Hardness Hard

Borrowed it from a senpai.
Press it with your finger and it's crazy hard. But when you actually hit with it, it feels a bit softer.
It's a tacky rubber, but the speed is godly too.
As for spin-related technique, the topspin drive has insane spin. Serves are tough to do well though.
I'd recommend it for the forehand.
If you hit without adding spin, the ball leaves the rubber super fast.
If you hit while adding spin, the ball-holding feel is amazing. All Speed Spin Control Hardness Little hard
