The new VICTAS VS > 401 rubber offers the perfect balance between a tacky control rubber and a variable offensive rubber. The German and Japanese material experts (GJ Tec) developed an extremely tacky surface for vicious backspin forcing your opponent into mistakes. The slightly more compact sponge neutralizes your opponent's attacks, thus providing for fantastic control. The High Energy Tension top rubber sheet also offers sufficient speed for sudden and dangerous attacks. VS > 401 is the perfect tool for all-rounders who need sufficient power for their own attacks in addition to great control.

    Customer Reviews SummaryAI Summary
A high-hardness defensive rubber developed with input from Hiroji Matsushita. Highly praised for cutting stability, spin performance, and attacking power, but the weight and hardness create a barrier for many players. However, those who master it gain unwavering confidence in its performance.
    ■ Frequently Mentioned Points
    • Excellent control and spin during cutting, producing stable low-trajectory balls
    • Aggressive shots like drives and smashes gain power from the hard sponge
    • Superior cutting quality, precision, and consistency in basic techniques like pushing and serving
    • Heavy weight (~56g) and hardness demand significant technique and strength
    • Poor form results in floating balls; mastering proper technique is essential
    ■ Representative Voices
▲ PositiveBoth loop drives and heavy attacks are suppressed and land safely in the opponent's court. With excellent control and aggressive capability, it's the most well-balanced rubber for defensive players.
▽ CriticalThe added weight and hardness make already-heavy defensive rackets difficult to handle. Sloppy swings produce weak balls, and considerable practice is required to use it effectively.

      Reviews by user

If you are a person who can use a rubber like a leopard though it is hard (you can catch the ball thickly), you can handle it without power.
The performance to apply rotation was excellent. It is easy to hit the rotation and it is easy to overwrite the rotation because it is a rubber for cut man.
I'm not a cutman, but I think it's very easy to do Chiquita, Tsuttsuki, Stop, etc. because it's stable because it doesn't bounce.

Former Bud Club (Experience:4〜5 years) Heavy but God

      Reviews by user

As the headline says. I put it on the front side of Aki Seiji, but I think it's a very good rubber. It's a dream-like performance in which the drive etc. bounces quite a bit, but when it is cut it can be suppressed very much (lol) Tsutsuki is the easiest to use ever! It would be heavy if only one drawback is given (laugh) It is seriously heavy because I put 2.0 on Zhu Seiji lol It is recommended because it can firmly suppress the opponent's ball power even if it is attached to a bouncy racket !

It was easy to turn, and it was easy to serve and cut!
As expected, it was difficult to drive if it was too low,
If you remove the weight, you will get a sharp sphere.

Piro (Experience:6〜10 years) In the sense of old days

      Reviews by user

I tried it because Koji Matsushita was involved in the development.
My cut swing is a push-out swing before the old-fashioned follow-through is great, and it just floats with recent rubber.
      When forecutting with VS401
Isn't it close to the sense of Takines D I used in old times!
It was difficult at first, since neither cut nor tsutsuki fly at all, but the feel was the best when used!
It is a feeling that a partner has finally been found!

Easy to make heavy backspin againist the opponent's topspin and good topspin againist the opponent's backspin. Not for countertopspin, better for hitting. Good for modern defensive game.

      Reviews by user

Forehead or drive or smash for real cut? It is a good rubber that fits well in the opponent's court without overturning against the loop or the bat against cutting though the bouncing speed comes out as well as you think.
In the same racket I tried various cuttings from bouncy such as bouncy lesser bouncy takines C and Chinese rubber to the defensive side of the series vs 402 and the more powerful class Moristo DF, but keep the stability of the cut I thought it was the most balanced rubber with an attack power.

Is the back soft at first? I thought I thought, but how sticky I got it was easy to suppress the impression of LOL cut. I smashed the ball that the opponent floated, but it was hard to do.
