It grips the ball for a long time so chops are stable. The spin is insane too. I use it on the backhand. Since it's not a tension rubber the speed isn't much, but you can still pull off a chiquita loaded with spin. Backhand topspin rallies from away from the table are also possible once you get used to it. I think it's a rubber that even beginners can handle.

I used the thin version on my backhand. The amount of spin on pushes and chops is amazing for a short-pips rubber. In matches, there were many scenes where the opponent caught the ball in the net. On top of that, since the sponge is soft, it holds down the opponent's ball well. The only drawback would probably be that, while your play is stable, you really have to consciously go for it to produce a knuckle ball.

I used to use Chop Sponge 1, but it got discontinued, so I tried out various short-pips rubbers looking for a replacement, and out of all of them, Chop Sponge 2 was the one that felt the best fit.
Compared to Chop Sponge 1, the feel is softer, but the sharpness is outstanding — it's one of those rubbers that makes it easy to build a game that confuses your opponent, with spin that holds up against their attacks, sidespin, and knuckle balls. While chopping to hold your ground, you can also attack fully while keeping the short-pips side.
So it's ideal for choppers who like to grind it out, or choppers who want to attack from the backhand.

An inverted rubber that doesn't fly much, letting you push right at the net.
When the opponent stops the ball, dealing with it near the net and reaching for short-game balls is as easy and comfortable as with long pips.
It gets more spin than Spectra, yet feels light and springy, similar to Curl P3 Alpha R.
That said, it really doesn't fly much and doesn't have much variation, so handling light balls short to the backhand is difficult. Attacking is pretty much hopeless.
It would be nice to flip it and attack with the inverted side, but the ball isn't floating quite enough, so those tricky in-between balls are hard to hit.

This time I used the extra-thin version for the first time.
Knuckle chops and sharp chops were easy to do. The attacking power is more than enough too. Personally, I'd love it if they made a vertical-pips version...All Speed Spin Control Hardness Little soft

I'm a chopper. I think spin, speed, and control are going to feel different depending on the person. The feel is really soft and pleasant. Seriously a great rubber. For both spin and control, thick is the best. The chop sponge absorbs the ball well, so chops and pushes are really easy to do.

The sponge is the same non-bouncy soft sponge used in anti-spin rubbers, so control on chops is outstanding.
It also gets so much spin that opponents often net the ball, giving it a sharpness like inverted rubber.I started with thin, but because of the blade's bounce, my chops tended to go longer than I expected.
Normally you'd think to go even thinner, but when I tried medium-thick instead, the soft sponge absorbed the power of the opponent's attacks and my control improved.
That said, for light taps, whether thin or medium, the ball tends to slip off and drop into the net a lot…All Speed Spin Control Hardness Soft
