NO.1 table tennis review site

Up until now I'd been playing a defense-focused game with long pips.
I admired a player who was smashing with backhand long pips (OX) close to the table, so I bought this to try it out.
My impression... compared to my previous rubbers, this one has a real "grip" to it.
Attacking close to the table is very easy with it.
My technique still isn't good enough to fully make use of it, but I can feel its potential.
Stops also hold up better than I expected.
That said, since the surface isn't a smooth-topped long pips, receiving serves doesn't return the ball automatically for you.
You still feel the effect of the opponent's spin to a fair degree, so technique is required.
I plan to keep using it for a while.
When smashing close to the table, the ball tends to come back with light topspin or something close to a knuckle ball.

This long pips rubber is a real hidden gem.
It's so hard that I figured it wouldn't produce much backspin, but it actually rips with heavy backspin.
And on top of that, it's incredibly stable.
Its attacking speed is also among the best you'll find in long pips.
Chopping with it, surprisingly, felt pretty ordinary.
I'd recommend this to close-to-the-table all-around/hitter players.

I use it as a long pips rubber on a Chinese penhold racket.
It's rock hard. That one word says it all.
Seriously rock hard.
There's no sponge either, so it's hard through and through.
The advantage of this rubber is that the range between "cutting" and "not cutting" the ball sets it apart from conventional long pips rubbers.
Against backspin, you can chop your push sharply, or you can return with a topspin push or a knuckle push - and do it aggressively too.
It really feels like it opens up a lot more options for how you play with pips on penhold.
It's harder to handle than something like P-1 or P-3, but used well, it's a sharp, distinctive rubber that can send nasty variation at your opponent without giving them time to react.

This is quite hard among long pips rubbers. Being OX made it harder to handle, but in exchange it gained a variation advantage that more than makes up for that downside. When it comes to variation, nothing can match this rubber!

This is the hardest long pips rubber TSP makes.
Even though it's OX, you can do stable pushes with it easily, chop-blocks bite really well, and even your attacks come out with a heavy knuckle effect - it's an incredibly high-performance long pips rubber.
