First off, this rubber is suited to all-round play. It's a jack-of-all-trades! I used it to get used to pips while I was looking for a tacky pips rubber (I'm having a custom original rubber made). Honestly, it's good enough that most people wouldn't want to tell anyone else about it. That said, results seem to vary a lot person to person, so be careful - it could be a big miss for you. It's soft.

I used inverted rubber for a bit over 8 years, then switched to forehand pips about 2 months ago.
The ball comes off fast enough to blow right through the opponent, and it's easy to control too!
I struggled to get used to blocking with pips at first, but it got a bit easier once I switched to this rubber.
Both pushes and stops cut the underspin nicely!
If you push through the shot you can also produce a knuckle ball.
The arc on drives is on the low side, but you can also hit curve drives. It lifts the ball up properly too. If you get good grip on the rubber and follow through fully, you can hit drives that draw block errors out of your opponent.
I've tried several kinds of short pips, but when things get tough and I need to keep a drive rally going, Impartial was the easiest for me by far. Just overall really easy to use!All Speed Spin Control Hardness Soft

People say it feels like inverted rubber, but honestly it doesn't feel like that at all. The trajectory is flat and it's fast, but drives are completely unstable. The ball just flies straight in the direction you swing, so you have to concentrate hard on every single shot. Blocking was super easy though, so I think it's good for defensive players.
That said, it was surprisingly good on the forehand, so I think it would suit penhold pips players.

My impression is that even though it's short pips, it's easy to put spin on with drives and pushes.
No complaints with smashes or blocks either.

This rubber really bites into the ball. Knuckle balls are easy to produce too, so I'd recommend it for a variation-style chopper!!

First off, it takes spin just like inverted rubber!! Pushes, stops, and drives all grip just as well as with inverted!
That said, maybe it can't be helped, but since it takes so much spin, it's a bit of a downside that knuckle balls are harder to produce...
I'd recommend it to anyone thinking of switching from inverted to short pips, or anyone who wants a solid backhand drive ♪All Speed Spin Control Hardness Little hard
