    Customer Reviews SummaryAI Summary
Praised for strong adhesion and excellent spin performance, but speed limitations and high technical demands are challenges. Recognized as a rubber for advanced players with power and fundamental skills.
    ■ Frequently Mentioned Points
    • Outstanding spin performance in loop drives and serves
    • Strong stickiness enables stable touch shots and pushes
    • Requires significant power and technique to generate speed
    • Hard sponge and heavy weight, not suitable for beginners
    • Racket compatibility matters (carbon-shafted rackets recommended)
    ■ Representative Voices
▲ PositivePure spin with excellent grip makes returns easier, and rubbed drives create clean trajectories that accelerate at the opponent's end.
▽ CriticalSticky rubber is not for everyone; it requires excellent impact control and spin technique. Without solid fundamentals, shots become flat and uncontrolled.

Yukiga (Experience: 11〜20 years) A Kuangbiao with better dwell

      Reviews by user

Honestly, it's a 2, it's unsponged, and even the Pro 3 doesn't bounce that much, so I figured this one wouldn't bounce either — that's the mindset I had when I hit with it.
I was proven wrong (in a good way)
First, what surprised me was the bounce even on light hits
It's not hard and clacky at all — the ball sinks in a bit and comes off nicely.
The speed wasn't all that different from a tension rubber either.
      Next, topspin drives
      The extension is insane
It keeps that distinctive Hurricane feel of the ball holding before it flies off, but it grips better than the 3, so that's a plus.
You can counter too, and it bounces plenty even from away from the table — the spin is, needless to say, no complaints.
The ball flew off so well that I found myself wondering, is this really tacky rubber?
There was only one thing I wasn't happy about.
The logo placement on the Hurricane
Right in the dead center is a big Hurricane logo, and next to it, prominently, it says Nittaku.
Hmm... not a good look. I thought it'd be in the same spot as the Pro 3, but it's different.
Honestly, if the logo position were different, I would have kept using it.

Jurmeine (Experience: 4〜5 years) A tacky rubber that bounces quite well

      Reviews by user

Even among the Hurricane series, this one really bounces well. I thought it'd be more suited to close-to-the-table play, but it bounces plenty even from away from the table and still lands on the table. Honestly, if someone complains it doesn't bounce, I have to wonder if they just lack the strength (^_^;) If anything, overshooting is more likely to be the miss. Spin is above tension rubber level, speed is about the same, and bounce is about the same too.
I didn't expect it to be this good.
      Though, the design though... lol

People of the Kyoto Leopard (Experience: 2〜3 years) Touch it and it barely bounces at all

      Reviews by user

Used on the backhand side of a Timo Boll W5.
If you brush it properly, it grips the ball insanely well. The spin easily beats Tenergy (lol). Really impressive. But if you don't have a proper brushing feel, it just turns into a flat, dead ball. You need to be careful, especially with this rubber.
Don't expect much from flat hitting... but it's plenty good as a surprise shot. Smashes come out really knuckleball-like and the ball speed is slow too. It makes me wonder if doing topspin drives with a tension rubber wouldn't actually be faster.
Overall: recommended for people who like Chinese rubber, who can brush the ball well, and who are confident in their strength.

Feels like a softer version of the DHS Hurricane.
The Hurricane 2 might have a bit more spin since it's harder. DHS also has more power on offense. As for chopping, the Pro 2 is easier to use, and offense is easier too even though it lacks power. If you're a chopper, I recommend the Pro 2!

I bought this just thinking as long as my drives go in, that's fine.
The bounce is well controlled and the stability is outstanding too.

Log (Experience: 4〜5 years) Doesn't bounce much

      Reviews by user

Doesn't bounce at all. In forehand rallies I couldn't get any spin at all — it doesn't bounce enough to even put spin on. My serve variety dropped, my pushes popped up too high, and the speed wasn't much either. Honestly, I don't know how to use Hurricane rubbers properly, so I'm switching rubbers right away.

Counter Man (Experience: 2〜3 years) A hard rubber

      Reviews by user

On the forehand it gets a pretty nice amount of spin, but on the backhand it's not as good — I really do think tacky rubbers are better used on the forehand.
