Used on the reverse side of a Tornado King Power, Japanese-style.
What stands out most is the grip. True to Japanese-made rubbers, the ball really lifts.
Softer rubbers can sometimes drop the ball when you brush it, but this rubber's sheet grips well enough that even backspin balls come up over the net without trouble.
The raw amount of spin isn't all that strong, but if you really let the ball sink in and loop it, the quality is good enough that it's not easily countered.
Maybe thanks to the strong grip, the chiquita seems to curve quite a lot for the amount of spin it actually has.
The best thing about this rubber is the block.
It's not very affected by incoming spin, so a simple block tends to go in. Being able to block without the ball dropping even when you throw up a reflex block against a fast drive is pretty important for a backhand rubber, don't you think?
Counter-driving early off the bounce is also easy to do.
If you limit it to the backhand, I think it works across a pretty wide range of levels. Recommended.All Speed Spin Control Hardness Soft

First off, it's cheap. Almost too cheap.
Second, the sound is incredible. Between the price, the sound, and the attacking power, it's hard to find a rubber that beats it on all three counts.Also, this rubber is what you'd call a "manual" type, but
whether you're driving or hitting flat, the ball comes off very sharp — that's its defining trait.
Shots hit from above (especially against topspin) become extremely decisive.
And then there's that great sound, plus stability. Both drives and flat hits are hard to overshoot with.The sponge is soft, but the sheet is quite hard and strong, so
if you're someone who doesn't back off the table, I think it could work on the forehand too (though it doesn't give much distance).

A friend of mine had this, so I got to hit with it.
The S is the softest in the Mantra series, but hitting with it I felt how strong the sheet is.
It doesn't have that unreliable feeling soft rubbers often have — it really grips the ball.
It also feels different from an Airoc-type feel; it has a moderate amount of bounce and gives a clean, quirk-free feel on contact.In terms of raw spin and speed numbers, it falls short of harder rubbers, but I thought the balance between a sponge that holds the ball even off-balance and a sheet that's easy to spin was excellent.
I got the impression it would work well on a shakehand backhand or the reverse side of a penhold blade.

I switched from Fastarc G1. It doesn't match the Fastarc in terms of spin or speed, but for hitting against chops or pushes, it's easy to freely control how much spin you put on the ball. Thanks to being a soft rubber, the short game is very easy to play. For topspin rallies, if you let the ball sink into the sponge and drive over it, it's easy to control the course. Also, because of that same sinking-in feel, it's easier to handle hard hits than with the Fastarc.

I switched my backhand from VICTAS V>01 Stiff to this rubber.
At my skill level, the Stiff felt like the ball would fly off before I could control it.
But with the Mantra S, it's easy to control myself, and there's a reassuring feeling that even a simple touch tends to land in. It's not easily affected by incoming spin, a plain block tends to go in, and the sheet grips well so it's also easy to add your own spin — all in all, it's performance that's very welcome at an intermediate level.
I thought it was about as good as it gets for a backhand rubber. The price is reasonable too, so give it a try.All Speed Spin Control Hardness Little soft

It's a soft rubber, so you really feel the ball grip onto it.
It's a spin-oriented rubber with plenty of spin, and it also gives decent speed, so speed-oriented players should be able to play well with it too.
In thick thickness it doesn't fly too much and is easy to use.
The price isn't too high either, so it's easy to pick up!
