A comprehensively thinner top surface rubber, subjected to high tension, allows space for a thicker sponge - generating extra power and speed.
The DONIC Bluestorm Series offers noticeably greater acceleration whilst retaining its outstanding spin and speed characteristics, making the latest trend.
The thinnest sponge is 1.9 mm, middle sponge thickness is 2.1 mm - and the thickest variation is called max+, because this sponge is even thicker than previous max versions.

A middle-pored sponge with a short wide pimpled structure. The Turbo has a 50° sponge and is therefore slightly harder than the standard Z1.
DONIC has produced a more dynamic version of Z1 with Bluestorm Z1 Turbo. The sponge of Z1 Turbo is slightly harder but with the same middle pore size. An almost perfect combination with the very thin high-tension pimpled rubber and the highly valued dynamic blue sponge. The perfect weapon for uncompromising attackers.

I've used the Bluestorm Z1 through Z3, and each one had that slight "something's missing" feeling. But using this rubber solved everything.
The Z3 was unmatched for how easy it was to put spin on drives, but it lacked a bit of power, and on finer things like pushes, it would sometimes fly further than I expected. The Z1 has power and is easy to use over the table, but the trajectory is on the flat side.
But when I put the Turbo on one side, the trajectory got noticeably higher, and backhand drives (chiquita) over the table in particular got easier to do. The way full-swing drives carry through feels great too, and pushes and stops are easier to control as well, so I quickly decided to put Turbo on both sides.
Its biggest appeal is performance that goes way beyond its price. I think this rubber stands shoulder to shoulder with Rakza as one of the best out there.All Speed Spin Control Hardness Little hard

I heard it was rated 50 degrees, but when I actually hit with it, it felt surprisingly soft. The ball sinks in nicely and spin is easy to generate, and the speed doesn't fall short either — it's a really good rubber. But because it's so bouncy, control is a bit hard. Backspin balls come off in a flat trajectory, so I found that a bit tricky. Over the table it's bouncy too, so that's tough. Even in an awkward position, the ball grips into the sponge, so it comes back up surprisingly well. It's a good rubber, but its lifespan is a bit short.

I used this on my forehand, and the spin and speed on hard drives are excellent. That said, sometimes it doesn't travel very far if your swing speed drops even a little. That's the one thing that bothered me.
Serves come out really low and skiddy, and it's quite easy to stop the ball too! Spin is easy to generate as well. The sheet has a lot of grip, so I don't think you'll lose out against the opponent's spin! It's a bit hard though, so it's more suited to intermediate/advanced players. Though I can't really picture a beginner reaching for this rubber anyway (lol)All Speed Spin Control Hardness Hard

Used this on my forehand
Serves stay nice and short, and the spin is more than enough.
I've been using it for about six months now, and I don't feel like the grip on the ball has gotten noticeably worse.

This rubber is crazy fast, but the trajectory is on the flat side, so it's hard to lift backspin balls. Once you're in a topspin rally though, it's almost unbeatable. I'd love for players who mostly develop their game through topspin rallies to try this one!

The backhand counter with this is nasty lol. It keeps up even in fast-paced rallies, and that doesn't mean it lacks spin either. I'd recommend it for close-to-the-table players.

I've been using the Z1 Turbo for about six months now, and it's the best rubber I've ever used. It responds well to fast-paced play while still generating plenty of spin on the ball, so it's great for all-around, aggressive-style players.
