This was my first time using a Mizuno rubber, and I could really feel Mizuno's high level of technology.
I found it difficult to lift backspin.
It doesn't have as much of an "automatic" feeling as when I was using Tenergy, and I think you need to make an effort to really put your own power into your shots!
However, on the backhand there was quite a bit of that automatic feeling. That's a sensation I hadn't experienced with any rubber I'd used before!!
Overall, I felt Q5 is suited to players who can swing fully on both forehand and backhand - an advanced-player rubber! All Speed Spin Control Hardness Little hard

Tried this at a demo event. Comparing it to the Q4, forehand hitting felt almost the same. The grip on loop drives against backspin is ridiculous. I thought it felt about the same as the Q4, but when I asked the person receiving my shots, they said the spin was completely different. Just like the Q4, counters land satisfyingly well and feel great. That said, since the sponge sinks in more, there's a slightly squishy sensation the moment you catch the ball, and that's probably going to be a matter of preference.

katsuo000 (Experience: More than 20 years) Q3-like pip shape, series' hardest sponge — curve drives are insane!

2.1mm, 51g.
As the title suggests, this felt like a harder version of Q3.
・The sheet grips well, so you can hit low, spinny loop drives! Serves get plenty of spin too.
・It's hard, but the ball sinks into the sheet easily!
・If you snap a speed drive, you get a nasty, heavy drive with a flat trajectory!
・If you brush sideways for a curve drive, you get a heavy, nasty drive with a wicked spin!
・Pushes and stops stay low!
・Not easily affected by the opponent's spin! Counter-driving is easy too!・On the backhand, maybe because the pips are thinner, I felt the ball leaves the rubber a bit quickly. Even when it sinks in, it feels like it releases the ball right away.
・Pushes and stops are easy to keep low, but hard to put heavy backspin on. This might be the effect of the heat making the sponge softer.Brushing sideways for a curve drive really makes the ball dance around, counter-driving is easy, and pushes and stops settle in nice and low, so I think this is a one-of-a-kind rubber.
Aside from the smell, I really liked it!
Hope this helps as a reference. All Speed Spin Control Hardness Little hard

It's been discontinued, but I really loved this rubber, so I hope it makes a comeback someday.
The Q5 has this soft, springy sheet that makes it really easy to feel like you're gripping the ball.
Maybe it's because the company that made it are rubber specialists, but aside from the smell, the sheet had the best lifespan and durability I've tried.
If I had to sum up the feel in one line, it'd be "a Tenergy 05 that you have to generate your own power for."
It doesn't have quite the speed of Tenergy, but the spin is on par or even better, and durability-wise the Q5 lasts way longer.
Considering the value for money too, this was the best of the post-Tenergy era rubbers. All Speed Spin Control Hardness Little hard

I tried putting the max thickness on a Viscaria.
The first thing I thought was that the sheet smells like pepper mixed with chemicals lol
I first tried hitting on the forehand, and it was quite easy to use, and above all the drives are incredibly fast. Drives against backspin also have crazy speed, to the point they go over.
Counters really fly off the racket, so I found it works well to add a strong impact the instant you hit and stop the racket with a sharp "snap."
Next is the backhand. Depending on the pace of the rally, when hitting close to the table, just blocking the ball is enough to send it back. What surprised me most of all was the drive!
I originally wasn't good at backhand, but when I forced myself to try a backhand drive, it went in incredibly conveniently! And the way the ball skids after landing on the table is amazing. So I've decided to use this on my backhandAll Speed Spin Control Hardness Little hard

The sponge hardness is listed as 47°, but the feel when hitting was quite soft.
Drives against backspin go in, but land a bit shallow. That might just be my own skill level though.
Other than that, counters go in quite easily.
The ball-holding is good so you can return shots consistently. This might not be the best rubber for hard hitters.
