The new top rubber in the RASANTER family does not just differ in its sponge hardness. With R53, andro opens a new chapter in rubber technology. The R53 is the first rubber with the newly developed andro ENERGY CELL sponge that charges every topspin with outstanding dynamics. In the unforgotten World Cup match between GAUZY and XU XIN, the new sponge caused a stir for the first time. Now the R53 is ready for mass production as a complete system solution with a new top rubber - and is now available for all those who are confident to handle this rubber. The new R53, without a doubt, the sharpest andro rubber of all time.

Simply put, it pairs well with a softer blade. I have it on my backhand, and if you swing through properly you get a good ball out of it. The difference from C53, which I also have on the other side, is just that R53 makes the ball run more, while C53 grips the ball better.

I put it on a Japanese penhold blade. Before, I was using things like Rasant Power Grip and R50, but this one flies far more, and it won't grip the ball without a proper impact. Swing through properly and the spin is incredible.

I put it on for chopping, but it flies quite a bit.
That said, the power it delivers is amazing!
I'm a chopper, but on my forehand I ended up only doing drives and smashes with it.All Speed Spin Control Hardness Hard

A friend recommended it as a good match for wood blades, so I tried it, and the feel and spin are ideal. Since the sheet is soft, to me it feels like it holds the ball quite well.
Because of that, it was easy to control the ball exactly where I aimed, and I was able to gain an edge in rallies.
If you play with a wood blade, why not give this a try?All Speed Spin Control Hardness Little hard

It seems opinions are split between people saying "it's hard" and people saying "it's not that hard," and I'm in the "not that hard" camp.
Either way, you really feel the speed. It's insanely fast!
When I get an over-miss off a drive, it feels like it's the speed rather than the spin that's inducing the miss. But that doesn't mean it lacks spin — there's plenty of it, and opponents often say the ball keeps extending after it lands on their side of the table.Smashes come out as proper knuckleballs, giving the ball a rough quality in a good way. With Tenergy 05, even smashes would pick up a bit of spin on their own and the ball would come out too "clean."
I'm very satisfied with it. It doesn't seem to be all that popular (lol), but definitely give it a try!

I think it's because the sheet is soft, so the feel isn't all that hard. But when you smash and really get the ball to sink into the sponge, it delivers power. This is for intermediate players confident in their strength, or advanced players. It was easy to use on both forehand and backhand.

STIGAmania (Experience: 11〜20 years) Somehow matches Timo Boll ALC (just my opinion)

I'm an equipment geek and used to switch rubbers every couple of months. But I've stuck with this one for about a year and a half now. Here's why:
● For some reason it just works with a Timo Boll ALC (just my personal take).
I've used things like 05 and 05 Hard, and they're both good, but 05 feels too soft for me and Hard feels too hard.
Rasanter R53 sits right in between. So if you're someone looking for something between 05 and 05 Hard, this might click for you. It feels soft for a 53°, but it's still best suited to players closer to advanced level with some power behind their shots.
By the way, it felt like a completely different rubber from C53. A friend of mine also said, "R53 for forehand, C for backhand, maybe."All Speed Spin Control Hardness Little hard
