Since it's slightly tacky, it puts a bit of spin on the ball, but speed isn't that great, and personally I found it hard to control. I think it would become more popular if they made the tack a bit stronger and released both a softer and a harder sponge version.

Back when I was actively competing I used to use 05 sometimes, but in the end I went back to this one, considering the sharpness of the chop and the difference in trajectory compared to the pips on my backhand.
Chop weight/sharpness: Taki D >> 05
Knuckle chop: Taki D > 05
Push: Taki D < 05
Serve: Taki D < 05
Short game: Taki D << 05
Drive/attacking overall: Taki D <<< 05
This is strictly my personal impression.
If you can use it well, it's a phenomenal rubber, but it's an honest rubber in the sense that you really need to put your weight into it properly with good footwork, or it becomes hard to follow up on.
I'd recommend it for intermediate players who've gotten reasonably good at chopping and footwork and want to add more variety to their tactics, or for those who aren't confident about how quickly they can get back to neutral - since the trajectory is slow, even though it's easier for your opponent to target, you also buy yourself more time to recover.
*Because the chop is so sharp, opponents using high-performance rubbers sometimes end up slipping when returning it.
Since chops with this rubber come off slow, I think a trajectory that drops from above without lowering your contact point suits it better.All Speed Spin Control Hardness Little soft

Used the black sheet, medium thickness, on the forehand
Pros
- Doesn't bounce much, so you can hit low drives
- Serves bite well
- Has power but is still easy to control
- The short game is easy to handle
Cons
- Doesn't get anywhere near tension-rubber speed
- If you drop back too far, you can't reach the ball
- Just tapping the ball doesn't send it very farIf you meet the ball solidly, you can get a decent amount of speed!
There isn't much tack, but it grips the ball with solid spin.
If you're thinking about buying it, I think it's worth trying~

This is a review of the max-thickness version from a chopper's point of view.
Switching over from Mark V ES max thickness.Unlike Mark V, this one doesn't advertise "high elasticity," so the bounce felt
a bit more subdued, but chopping was more stable because of it.
The tack is very slight, but even when you slice thin, it still grips
the ball properly - I felt it was just enough.The spin on chops isn't all that strong, but since it's easy to control,
keeping it low should be enough to draw net mistakes from your opponent.For attacking techniques like the drive and smash, the power isn't
all that impressive either, but the control is so good that even though it doesn't fly
flashy shots or make a loud sound, you can actually score points reliably with it.Rather than stretching to pick a tension rubber, I think this might actually be the rubber that's "easier to win with."

I used this on my forehand at max thickness.
Even at max thickness it doesn't bounce much, so it was easy to produce exactly the chop I wanted - long or short, high or low, however much spin.
The tack feels a bit lacking to really call it a tacky rubber, but it still puts a decent amount of spin on the ball.
With a tension rubber, sometimes your drive still goes in even when you don't fully swing through it (lol), but with this rubber you really have to move your body and swing all the way through to get a good ball, so it reminds you to get your fundamentals right, haha.
As for smashing, it just doesn't produce any speed at all, which is sad even for a chopper...
In the end, because of its good control, I think this rubber suits choppers, or forehands of beginner topspin players working on their fundamentals (I think it'd feel a bit too hard for the backhand).All Speed Spin Control Hardness Little hard

This is from a chopper's point of view.
I currently have it on my forehand, and both chops and topspin drives go in fine.
However, it barely puts any spin on the ball at all.
They call it slightly tacky, but there isn't much tack to it either.
It doesn't bounce much, so chops come out on a really low trajectory, which gives it good consistency, but...All Speed Spin Control Hardness Little soft

I tried this rubber that was on my penhold friend's backhand side.
First off, blocking was easy.
