You don't feel much tackiness on the surface, and the spin is about average, I'd say. If you're used to tacky rubbers, you'll probably find it lacking. In the short game it stays on the table nicely, true to being a slightly tacky rubber. Reviews often say it's similar to the 09C, but to me it feels like a different animal.
I'd say it leans quite far toward tension with just a hint of tack, so I'd recommend it for people who normally use tension rubbers.All Speed Spin Control Hardness Little hard

Used on the forehand at an intermediate-to-advanced level
Comparing to the 09C
Good points
The ball comes out rougher than with the 09C (there's a big difference between shots that grab and ones that don't, which makes it hard for opponents to read)
Serve bounce is lower than the 09C
It's the type of rubber that lifts the ball up, so you can swing hard through low balls and still get a good shot in
The topsheet is a bit soft, which makes it easy to handle
The bounce is just right - not too dead, not too lively
No issues in the short game
Bad points
It doesn't produce a consistently well-spun ball the way the 09C does (there's a bit of variation in how well the surface grabs the ball, leading to misses depending on the rubber's condition)
Overall
The Jekyll & Hyde 52.5 has qualities opponents find more annoying than the 09C, and it made me think it might be worth switching to as my main rubberAll Speed Spin Control Hardness Little hard

Basically, it flies a ton and the ball goes deep. If you hit it flat, like a meet shot, it'll all go into the net.
But if you use your body to put spin on your topspin drives, it becomes stable, so I think this is a good fit for people who prioritize spin over raw distance.All Speed Spin Control Hardness Little hard

It's slightly tacky, but the topsheet's inherent performance isn't that strong - if you brush the ball, the spin comes out weak and the arc is low. If you're going to use it on the forehand, I think it's better paired with a blade that holds the ball well and produces a good arc, like an inner-composite or a 7-ply all-wood blade, and hit with more of a flat, ball-meeting stroke.
Counters and rallies can be controlled even with a fairly loose swing.
On the backhand it didn't feel as off as it did on the forehand even with an outer-composite blade, but it's simply heavy, so it seems like it'll suit some players and not others.All Speed Spin Control Hardness Little hard

The blade is an OSP Virtuoso AC.1. A tacky tension rubber with outstanding speed performance

3. When you want spin, it really grabs the ball!
It felt like a rubber pretty similar to the Omega VII China Kage, but with surprisingly high speed performance. It's a jaw-dropping kind of fast! For a rubber billed as tacky tension, I thought having this much speed performance was interesting and made it stand out. Since the Jekyll & Hyde series doesn't demand a lot of precision in angle or swing, I felt it's more of a rubber for intermediate players than advanced ones.

I tried it on my forehand, and if you want it to fly like a tension rubber, it will. But you can still get that tacky-rubber-style tricky ball too.

Forehand, max thickness
I bought it for my backhand, but I couldn't handle it at all, so I moved it to my forehand.
Despite being hard, it holds the ball better than I expected, and being slightly tacky it also has plenty of spin and stays on the table. It goes deeper than the G1.
Rasant C48 was a medium thickness so I can't compare them directly, but the Jekyll & Hyde gives the impression of producing plenty of power even at mid-distance.
Even loops hit really high still land in without going long.Even on the forehand it was hard and difficult to hit, and I was pretty much ready to give up on it, but maybe I got used to it, because now it's grown on me quite a bit.
It lasts a long time too, so the value for money is quite good - I'd recommend it.All Speed Spin Control Hardness Hard
