Maybe because the blade is thin, the racket is light and easy to swing through. From mid-distance you don't get all that much power, but it's stable. Close to the table, it's easy to play at a fast pace starting from the short game. I'd recommend it to players who want stability in every part of their game.

  • MA LIN EXTRA OFFENSIVE

    User review

This is the blade that Ma Lin, the Olympic gold medalist, used.
The top ply uses a harder wood, so it pairs well with tacky rubber. You can handle any technique without trouble, and it works from beginner to advanced.
    Please give it a try.

  • Tenergy 80-FX

    User review

I used to have the regular 80 on my backhand, but I switched to the FX because I couldn't swing through backhand drives in important match situations. This rubber has a softer sponge, so it's also lighter. Being soft didn't mean the spin was lacking though. I'd recommend it to players looking for both high speed and high spin. I also think it's good for people trying Tenergy for the first time.
The downsides are that it's expensive and the lifespan is a bit short.

    User review

I used to be a Tenergy user, but I switched because the price was too high.
Looking at the hardness rating alone, I thought it might be a bit hard, but when I actually hit with it, it feels quite soft. I especially found the push and stop easy to do. I'd recommend it to players who attack close to the table.

Writing this from the perspective of a beginner (about a year of experience or less).
It's not an exaggeration to call this rubber the pinnacle of all rubbers, but just swinging makes the ball go in, so your form ends up a mess. That's why I'd recommend a rubber with good control for beginners first. Also, the value for money isn't great. Students might not be able to afford it. If you really want to use it, I'd recommend going with the FX series.
