  Spec-wise, I was curious about the original Warac, but I gave up on it because the grip flared out too much and looked like it would hurt my hand.
  This time, the shape around the grip had changed, so I tried it right away.

  I tested it with short pips on the backhand.

  Just like the Goriki, simply making contact is enough for the ball to naturally sink into the short pips on its own.

  This contributes a lot to the stability you get with unorthodox rubber.

  Even with a variation-type short pips rubber like Attack 8, you can hold the ball properly before hitting it, so you can keep hitting consecutively with stability.

  It also pairs well with inverted rubber, grabbing and launching the ball beautifully, so you can swing away with confidence.

  The one thing is, unlike the Goriki where blocks just stop on their own with a simple touch, this one is lighter, so you need to line up the angle of the blade for blocks.
  Instead, it's easy to swing, and both drives and flat hits are easy to pull off.

  For short pips on the backhand, this blade is one solid answer.

  スペック的に初代ワラックが気になっていたのですが、エラが張りすぎて手が痛くなりそうなグリップだったので断念。
  今回、グリップ周りの形状も変わっていたので、早速試しました。

  バックに表ソフトを貼って試しました。

  剛力と同様に、普通に当てるだけで、表ソフトにボールが勝手に食い込んでくれます。

  これが、異質ラバーの安定感に大きく繋がっています。

  アタックエイトなどの、変化系表ソフトであっても、ボールをしっかり持ってから打てるので、安定して連打できます。

  裏ソフトとも合わせやすく、絶妙に掴んで飛ばしてくれるので、安心して振り回せます。

  ただ、当てるだけで勝手にブロックが止まる剛力と違って、軽いのでブロックは面を合わせる必要があります。
  その代わり、振りやすく、ドライブもミートもやりやすいラケットです。

  バック表には、1つの回答となるラケットです。

  If you're comparing pure amount of spin, rubbers like Booster SA or Impartial XS might be ahead,
  but with restrained bounce for a tension rubber, a good amount of grip on the ball, and grip strength that doesn't let the ball slip,
  the "hold time" on the ball is exceptionally long even among short pips rubbers,
  so you can really feel like you're "putting real spin on it."
  It's "easy to spin" to the point where it feels almost as close as inverted rubber.

  On the other hand, don't expect much natural knuckle effect just from hitting it.
  You need to add a bit of your own technique, like sliding or flicking the ball yourself. Of course, since it's short pips, that's not too difficult.

  It's a little lacking if you want to attack hard and aggressively, but in exchange it's outstandingly easy to control,
  so it works well even with special-material blades that don't usually pair well with short pips.

  絶対的な回転量で比べるなら、ブースターSAや、インパーシャルXSなどの方が上なのかもしれませんが、
  テンションの中では控え目な弾み、程よい食い込みと、滑らないグリップ力で、
  ボールを「持つ時間」が、表ソフトの中でも飛び抜けて長いので
  「しっかりかけている」と実感できます。
  裏ソフトともあまり感覚が変わらずに使えるくらいに「かけやすい」ですね。

  その代わり、打つだけで自然にナックル、と言うのはあまり期待できません。
  自分から滑らせたり弾いたり、少し工夫が必要です。もちろん表ソフトですので、それほど難しくはありませんが。

  ガンガンと攻撃していくには少し物足りないですが、その代わり抜群にコントロールしやすいので、
  普通、表ソフトとあまり合わせることのない、特殊素材ラケットでも、十分に使えます。

• Ventus Basic

  

  The bounce is about like Sriver or Mark V.
  But since it grips the ball well, it flies a little farther.

  It's not some arc monster like the Zac, just a moderate, well-judged arc.
  Spin is easy to put on the ball, and you can really feel it biting in.

  As a beginner rubber, it's plenty solid enough to become a classic — a really well-balanced rubber overall.

  弾みは、スレイバーやマークVくらい。
  ただ、引っ掛かりが良いので、飛距離はやや遠くまで飛びます。

  ザックのような弧線モンスターでもなく、ほどよい弧線です。
  回転がかけやすく、しっかりとかけている感じが伝わってきます。

  初心者向けとして、定番となっておかしくない、とてもバランスの良いラバーです。

  This is a rubber where you can picture a lot of different uses.
  The ball pops up and traces a high arcing trajectory similar to Rakza 7.

  That said, the speed is about on par with Sriver. Since I'm using a wood blade this time, I just couldn't get the ball through no matter how hard I hit topspin drives.
  It probably takes a thicker carbon blade to really open it up.

  
  What really stands out is the short game.
  Like most rubbers with a high arc, pushes bite really easily. And since it doesn't fly, you can chop as hard as you want.

  The chiquita is fantastic too. It grips the ball and you can swing all out, so even a heavily cut ball comes up easily. Plus the ball is slow off the rubber, so it curves a lot.

  
  Chopping is actually easy too. It's easy to use and easy to put spin on.

  If they made a "medium" sponge version, I'd have no hesitation having my students use it.

  
  Obviously it's great for beginners, but

  it could also be interesting for intermediate-to-advanced forehand-dominant players to use on the backhand.

  As I mentioned, a well-cut push and chiquita both have real power, and it's easy to absorb the opponent's power on blocks too.

  It takes a different approach from things like an ultra-thin backhand Bombard, but this rubber has a lot of potential for creating backhand scoring chances.

  使い方が色々想像できるラバーですね。
  ボールが上に飛び出し、ラクザ７並の高い弾道を描きます。

  しかし、弾みはスレイバー並。今回、木材ラケットということもあり、ドライブではいくら打っても抜けません。
  厚めのカーボンに貼ってようやく、といったところでしょう。

  
  特筆すべきは台上。
  弧線が高いラバーに共通するように、ツッツキがひたすら切りやすい。なおかつ、飛ばないので思い切りきっていけます。

  チキータも素晴らしい。引っ掛かる上に思い切り振れるので、切れていても簡単に持ち上がります。しかも、球足が遅いので、よく曲がる。

  
  実は、カットもやりやすい。やりやすいし、切りやすい。

  もし、スポンジで「中」があれば、迷わず生徒に使わせたいラバーです。

  
  初心者にはもちろんですが、

  フォア主戦の中上級者が、バック側に使う、のも面白そう。

  前述のとおり、切れたツッツキとチキータは相当な威力ですし、球威を吸収しやすく、ブロックもやりやすい。

  ボンバードなどのバック極薄とはまた別路線で、バックのチャンスメイクに大きな可能性があるラバーです。

  The topsheet is a bit softer than Spectol, so spin feels easier to put on the ball.
  The sponge also has good elasticity while feeling somewhat softer than Spectol (though not as soft as the 21).

  It holds the ball well, spin feels easy to generate, and blocking is outstandingly consistent.

  Even hitting hard, there's no sense of the ball sliding off, so you can keep hitting away with confidence.

  That said, compared to Spectol as a baseline, knuckle balls feel a bit harder to produce.
  You can still produce them easily if you try, but this isn't a rubber where blocks naturally come out with a nasty, unpredictable quality.

  
  It used to be standard to apply speed glue to this and get it flying and spinning like crazy,
  but without glue, it's a completely balanced type of rubber.

  It suits short-pips beginners, or short-pips users who prioritize consistency.

  スペクトルよりもシートが少し柔らかく、回転はかけやすく感じます。
  スポンジも弾性がありながら、スペクトルよりもやや柔らかい感じ（21ほどではない）。

  球持ちが良く、回転がかけやすく感じますし、ブロックも安定感抜群。

  強打しても滑る感覚がなく、安心してガンガンと打っていけます。

  ただ、スペクトルを基準にすると、ナックルは少し出にくく感じますね。
  出そうとすれば簡単に出せますが、ブロックが自然に嫌らしい球質になるラバーではありません。

  
  かつては、これにグルーを塗ってキンキンに飛ばしたりかけたりするのが主流でしたが、
  ノングルーでは完全なバランスタイプのラバーです。

  表ソフト初心者、あるいは安定感重視の表ユーザーには向いています。
