This rubber lets you put drive spin on the ball almost like inverted rubber. The sponge is a bit soft, so the ball really sinks into it and picks up a ton of spin. Blocks are the same way - the ball sinks into the sponge and arcs, making them stable too.
People tend to focus on drives and blocks, but the other techniques really show off its pips character. Pushes come out as knuckle balls (though you can also put spin on them if you want), and since it's still short pips, flicks against underspin lift the ball very easily. Flat-hitting techniques are the easiest thing ever on this lol. And on top of all that, the feel off the racket is great, so it's just really satisfying to play with.
Compared to Morristo SP AX, another horizontal-pip spin-oriented pips rubber, Impartial XS is clearly better at both knuckle balls and general pips character. With Morristo SP AX, spin just naturally comes onto drives, blocks, and even pushes whether you want it or not.
This is perfect for a player who wants stability on blocks and underspin hits, but also wants to bring out a bit more pips character in their other techniques!Overall Speed Spin Control Hardness Little soft

I'm currently using this on my forehand rubber!
Being tacky, the topspin drive gets a ton of spin. But because the sponge is hard, you don't get much spin on a speed drive unless you have a lot of power. Actually, I can't get very heavy balls on my own speed drives either...
That said, I think this rubber's biggest strength is countering. If you use the power of the opponent's shot, the ball sinks into the sponge fairly well even if your own power is a bit lacking. I'm actually a chopper, and I've been scoring more points off counters lately.
As for smashes, if you put in a strong impact you can more or less ignore spin and still get the ball in, and the faster you swing, the more speed you get and the more stable it becomes.
For chops, since I personally use a fairly fast blade, I can make use of the rebound to produce knuckle chops, or let the ball sink into the sponge for a sharply spinning chop.
Also, since this rubber is quite heavy, it's easy to swing down into your chops, so I think it's a great match for choppers.
That said, be careful — if you don't use a soft blade, beginner-to-intermediate players will probably end up hitting a lot of straight, spinless balls, lol.
Advanced players should put it on a carbon blade or similar and go ahead and crank out heavy shots!Overall Speed Spin Control Hardness Hard

This blade can basically do everything, matches with any rubber, and I think every ability it has is average or better.
Put another way, it doesn't have a distinct personality or a real standout strength.. but by the same token, it doesn't really have any weaknesses either.
If you're a beginner or intermediate player who hasn't settled on a playing style yet, I think pairing this with an easy-to-use inverted rubber is a solid choice for the time being.

I'm a chopper, and I used this as my main blade for a year and a half.
The best thing about it is the ball-holding feel. Back when I'd just started playing table tennis, this blade is what taught me the feel of gripping the ball.
It suits players who focus on stability with loops and blocks more than players who rely heavily on smashes and fast drives. As for countering, I found it easy to use, but people who normally use composite blades told me it holds the ball too much and is a bit harder to handle.
Also, for an attacking blade, it's very easy to chop with. That said, I think it gets harder if you put on a bouncy tension rubber. I was chopping with Hurricane rubber, and it made sharp, cutting chops easy. It also pairs well with short pips.Overall Speed Spin Control Touch Hardness Little soft

This blade has a smaller head than typical chopping blades, so it's very easy to swing when you go on the attack. It's a very soft, flexible blade, so within the Nittaku lineup it pairs really well with hard rubbers like Hurricane. It might also work well with a firm tension rubber from another brand, like DNA.
Personally, I really like the feedback you get in your hand when you hold back a chop. It looks like a blade built mostly for attacking, but it holds back well enough that even someone who almost never attacks and just chops can use it.
