A senior one year above me was using this on the forehand. I borrowed it and tried it, and I think it's really easy to use on the backhand. On the forehand, it's genuinely out of the question — I honestly have no idea how you're supposed to use it there. On the backhand it's a variation-type rubber, but you mostly end up using it for attacking play too. It's like a "the pips" kind of rubber. The value for money is good too, so if you're switching to short pips on the backhand, this one is a solid option.

Compared to Tenergy, the speed is just a touch lower, but it's still plenty fast. It's hard to handle, but once you get used to it, it's unbeatable. I'd recommend it for players with a heavy loop-style drive who want to keep the same spin while bumping up the speed a bit. Just be careful, though — even though it's called "lightly tacky," it still flies quite a bit. Among all the equipment out there right now, I think this is the strongest one. Just don't factor in the price, though. It's the one downside of Butterfly rubbers that they tend to run a bit expensive.

It's pretty sad that the price keeps going up lately. But it's still good value for money, so I'd recommend buying it before it goes up any more. It's easy to use on both forehand and backhand, so give it a try. It's one of the go-to tension rubbers, so of course it's easy to use. I think even beginners could start with it. Personally, I think G-1 on forehand and C-1 on backhand is the best combo.

I think it's a blade you can use without any weird quirks. Of course it works with inverted rubber on both sides, and I think it also works with an inverted/pips combo. At first it might feel like it flies a lot, but I think you can do anything with it once you get used to it. As an inner blade, I don't think it's all that different from a 5-ply all-wood blade. It's like a 5-ply that flies a bit more, which I think is nice. The only downside is that it's a bit pricey. The list price of 16,500 yen feels expensive. Other than that, I think it's perfect.

Personally, I think this rubber sits somewhere between the Fastarc G1 and C1. If you're using inverted rubber on both sides and don't know what to get, just buy this in max thickness on both sides. It's cheap too. If I had to name a downside, I'd say it's a bit hard to generate speed with. Still, it's a tension rubber, so you do get some. I think even advanced players would find this rubber suits them. If you're stuck on what to use for your backhand, it's worth trying. All things considered, I think this is Yasaka's best rubber across the board.
